@hlbkv gnome software can handle debs and flatpaks (and on Ubuntu also snaps I think). The app itself is a deb, so it is not surprising that it can be installed. The apps that end up being able to be installed with it are probably also debs.

Just an update, I gave up on trying the KDEConnect workaround. I did some deep investigation on resolving the issue within Waydroid itself, and documented my progress. It's definitely a feature-request in Waydroid. https://github.com/waydroid/waydroid/issues/211 I haven't done any more work on it for a while, since my last post on github. There are a few libs being used in Waydroid, which I linked to, which have sparse documentation. I don't have deep enough knowledge of these languages and platforms to be able to fix this easily - not to mention android's workflow for builds. Wasn't able to do a build of LineageOS on my PC; some incompatibility with package versions. It'd be nice to resolve this for everybody who uses Waydroid, but IRL is taking priority for now.

Sorry for the delayed reply. Through command prompt before I installed Android Studio with just the universal package it didn't see the phone. Not sure why but it just stayed at waiting on device.

@nataliagk The power button is stuck probably. You need to disassemble the phone and possibly replace the button cable. Have a look here how to dissassemble the phone.

I use PIA and I have found this link while searching though about setting up Ubuntu Linx and it is a shame that the vpn set-up on my M10 is not as easy as this, https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/pages/client-support/ubuntu10.10-pptp However, in the Advanced Open VPN section i have Ino idea which file to downloead and use. I would assume that i need the tcp/strong file but with vpns i do not want to get it wrong.

@mawil1013 My OPO also charges rather slowly I think. Seems to depend somewhat on how many mA you feed it, but still slow. The battery performance has also deteriorated lately. Can't get through a day with bluetooth and wifi off, even with light use.

@advocatux Yes, I had it installed and did typed the commands on the M10 itself. @Lakota Thanks for the advice (and the question from a while ago)! https://forums.ubports.com/topic/262/desktop-apps?page=1 Thanks to you all, I now have the Firefox, Libreoffice, and even the V.L.C. Player & Ubuntu Restricted Extras I'd forgotten running on my Aquaris F.H.D. with the latest O.S release, plus learned how to use a container for the first time. Thanks again! Anyone know when the legacy app.'s are updated? Likewise, I tried installing the font manager 'Fonts" to install a modified segoeui.fft, but the installation ended with
E: Unable to locate package fonts
, so Fonts doesn't appear in Deskop Apps. Is this fixable?

I was in the same situation as you. I had Xperia X and really wanted to install Ubuntu Touch on it so it's not hooked on Google 24/7. Ended up exchanging the Xperia for Nexus 5.

Thanks, y'all! @Marathon2422 I listened to some of the podcast 28 and I know that 16 is not totally ready but using it I think it definantly seems close. @advocatux Thanks! That solved the problem! Still has very few apps now but like Marathon2422 said, their may be restocking the store with apps for 16.04. I know 15.04 is supposed to be more stable but this seems alright and I do want to submit error reports to help since this is stable enough for me to use as a daily phone. A lot of the problems I remember from last year or the year before are gone in this update I have installed now. Thanks for putting a link too. And I now use UTmedia since that works, but I wish I could use the File Manager to open the videos since that isn't suggested my UTmedia and the File-Manager doesn't list UTmedia as a was to open the video files. Oh well, it works alright for now. Thanks again!
