@hlbkv gnome software can handle debs and flatpaks (and on Ubuntu also snaps I think). The app itself is a deb, so it is not surprising that it can be installed. The apps that end up being able to be installed with it are probably also debs.

Just an update, I gave up on trying the KDEConnect workaround. I did some deep investigation on resolving the issue within Waydroid itself, and documented my progress. It's definitely a feature-request in Waydroid. https://github.com/waydroid/waydroid/issues/211 I haven't done any more work on it for a while, since my last post on github. There are a few libs being used in Waydroid, which I linked to, which have sparse documentation. I don't have deep enough knowledge of these languages and platforms to be able to fix this easily - not to mention android's workflow for builds. Wasn't able to do a build of LineageOS on my PC; some incompatibility with package versions. It'd be nice to resolve this for everybody who uses Waydroid, but IRL is taking priority for now.

@advocatux No problem. I already have one so it couldn't hurt to try.

@misterti one down onto the next : ) just guessing as I only have commercial email accounts, but one was POP. I did have to mess with the settings for it and did change to imap settings and now it does work as the others. So give it a try. The body text may be something similar to the gmail thing and your providers settings. lets see what happens with imap first.

@emerson edited your post to avoid linking that site Anyway, I think your issue is not related to the latest update, just some random bot added your account to its spam list, and that can happen at any time. Report that group on Telegram, and remove your account from it.

Better install TWRP recovery, this should work in 90% of the cases.

@ingo Yup, the dependencies are still not in the images unfortunately so it may not survive OTA updates for some. But for me the browser still works and I only had to install the packages once :).

This is just a reminder (pun intended) that we should use the issues tracker too, and not only talk about an issue on this forum, or on Telegram groups or wherever. For example the issues tracker for Notes is https://github.com/ubports/notes-app/issues That's the only way to have a proper record.

@3arn0wl "To improve privacy, I'd like the option of using the Tor network." Running Tor on Ubuntu Touch devices would be a great feature for sure! On all of my desktop computers I'm using Tor as my standard browser since three or four years now. Nowadays and in times of unlimited tracking run by companies like Facebook, Google, Microsoft etc. there is not any reason anymore to not use Tor as a daily driver.
