@hlbkv gnome software can handle debs and flatpaks (and on Ubuntu also snaps I think). The app itself is a deb, so it is not surprising that it can be installed. The apps that end up being able to be installed with it are probably also debs.

Just an update, I gave up on trying the KDEConnect workaround. I did some deep investigation on resolving the issue within Waydroid itself, and documented my progress. It's definitely a feature-request in Waydroid. https://github.com/waydroid/waydroid/issues/211 I haven't done any more work on it for a while, since my last post on github. There are a few libs being used in Waydroid, which I linked to, which have sparse documentation. I don't have deep enough knowledge of these languages and platforms to be able to fix this easily - not to mention android's workflow for builds. Wasn't able to do a build of LineageOS on my PC; some incompatibility with package versions. It'd be nice to resolve this for everybody who uses Waydroid, but IRL is taking priority for now.

@Alvescosta It sounds like a hardware issue to me. If you want to be sure, you could consider reinstalling Android and checking on that. But you should also consider i going through the trouble is worth it for you.

@antonyj Indeed, do not download the Anbox image on the Nexus 5. It is already pre-installed by default. Doing so might creating bugs. Just start here: sudo mount -o rw,remount / sudo apt update sudo apt install anbox-ubuntu-touch android-tools-adb anbox-tool install exit If you have an error message telling you an insufficient memory in /var, you can try as following: sudo mount -o rw,remount / sudo rm -r /var/cache/apt # delete the apt cache; frees space on system image sudo tune2fs -m 0 /dev/loop0 # space reserved exclusively for root user on system image set to zero sudo apt update # recreate apt cache to install Anbox and adb sudo apt install anbox-ubuntu-touch android-tools-adb sudo mount -o ro,remount / exit

I believe someone was experimenting with morph to support dark mode or inverse color mode. Haven't tried it myself though.

There is no problem if PIN security is set to "off", but I figure out... There is no problem if you use one SIM for "data" (e.g. SIM 1, that it is "/usr/ofono...ril_0") and you toggle the other one (SIM 2, "usr/...ril_1") off/on. But if you switch off the SIM on which "cellular data" is "on", the phone automatically switches "cellular data" to the other SIM and this remains even also restoring "on" the previous SIM: you have to manually reset it in the "settings". Be careful! This happens even if "cellular data" is turned off before taking action. "Cellular data" will be active on the other sim anyway!

I'm pretty sure the kernel is lacking the FTDI or whatever usb-serial driver your peripheral needs.

Thank you for your reply. I've tried using morph browser and instagraph, but there is no way to upload videos. Same problem using my desktop running Ubuntu. I can upload pictures, but not video. I did some more research and apparently using https://getgramly.com might work as a workaround. I will try that.

@herbi can you clarify, did this issue surface after using the installer or after starting an over-the-air upgrade from the system settings? In any case, you should be able to restore your device by using the installer, as long as there is no hardware issue.

Does it happen often ? When you cannot receive an incoming call can you emit an outgoing call ? When you cannot receive an incoming call, wake-up your phone and call it, does it work ? On the OP3, I had to modify the wake lock time otherwise the phone was not able to wake from a deep sleep : https://github.com/Halium/android_hardware_ril/commit/104191acb7cf431a92740efb3465d40b2cddcfe1

@haltriumph That's weird indeed. Try do the same process one more time. Also, check on your Google account that your contacts are still in the primary folder. Indeed, you'll find "Contacts", "Frequent contacts" and, right down the list: "Other contacts"... Sometimes, Google do upgrade it's interface and contacts may be moved into another folder ("Other contacts" in my case).

Thanks for your answer. I actually replaced the battery in February of this year. The viewer assured me it was an original OnePlus battery. The important thing is that everything else works for now. Thanks again for the answer.

Looks like the issue is due to too big /etc/hosts file, after enabling too much uAdBlock blackists: https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues/1265#issuecomment-564502269 After reducing blacklist my E5 is usable again! (no longer a feature phone with one app usable ).

There is also always the wonkiness of adb and fastboot, trying a different usb cable or another computer is sometimes a good bet.

@mcappa2 There's a Qt-based sqlite3 browser which will work natively on UT but the scaling will be bad. You can install it directly on the rootfs if you're that type of person or install via Libertine but I'm not sure how to run it natively instead of xmir.
