@bearbobs sorry for the late reply its been busy with work...did you have to host the emulationstation?....because not sure how to host from within a clickable.....Iv seen the project before but have not really done anything with it....if it runs totally client side its do able....but if it needs hosting I don't think it can be done....the nes I'm working on is a heavily modded JavaScript emulator runs totally client side i added touch support fixed up the audio and added a lot of mapper support.....one big issue is the webview out of the box is....well lacking...if you load mario you will see black squares around the clouds and other sprites...not the emulator but the webview....

@rom4nb Actually I solved to restore my backup. Here's how I did it: install UT on new device setup SSH between Desktop and UT device (instruction e.g. here (in German): https://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Ubuntu_Touch/Terminal/#SSH ) create folder to mount UT root with ssh: mkdir ~/UPhone-Home mount UT via SSH on Desktop: sshfs phablet@IP_ADRESS_PHONE:/ /home/$USER/UPhone-Home/ on Desktop: cd into directory with BUDS backup: cd ~/buds/backup/DATE/ on Desktop: start restore of data with: tar -xf BACKUP.tgz -C /home/$USER/UPhone-Home/home/phablet/ It runs through and all data is restored in the correct path. E.g. when there is a file in the tgz: /./Music/Track1.mp3 it will be correctly restored in /home/phablet/Music/Track1.mp3 So this issue here seems not to be a problem: https://github.com/popey/buds/issues/10

@C0n57an71n currently have my carrier as automatic (manually changing to at&t caused all cellular data to stop), but havent manually configured apns. During my messing about in general ive somehow made the messages app more consistent with sending messages, but mms is still unavailable. Should I just use normal at&t apn settings or has anyone on the forums found more stable ones?

@doniks said in Libertine and Desktop apps in OTA-14: @gdegrez Ah, right. I didn't read it carefully enough. Tbh, I only have second hand knowledge about puritine. I understand it was a prerolled, read only container that Canonical shipped. My guess is: It's probably best to not care too much about that anymore. UBports has made lots of updates to repositories, so you're probably better off today with a self created libertine container anyway. I don't think puritine ever offered any unique advantage over a self created container, other than sparing you the creation Thanks. Yes, that works but, unfortunately, many desktop apps don't work under Libertine (in my recent limited experience, firefox, frescobaldi, musescore) Hope that future developments will bring a solution. But the fact that the only supported tablet is the BQ Aquaris M10 (no more recent device using wayland) worries me a bit...

Copy the vcf file to the Document folder. Then on Mobile go to contacts and import the contact using vcf and select the vcf file was copied. All good now.. Thanks @dobey

@ziggutas Many thanks for the explanation. Then I will stay on the RC and see when the Pinephone can be used as a daily driver. At the moment, with 6h battery life and other various problems, this is not given yet.

[Solved] Quick update: "rm -r /opt/click.ubuntu.com/[package]" did the job as FileManager did not offer a delete option. All old scopes and apps removed now. They also do not show up in the "Storage" any more. Thanks again!

Hello, Thank you for your involvement in finding solutions to my difficulties with UT. In my last post, I indicated that I considered my problems as "solved" but, I was not precise enough. I was able to stably fix the libertine tweak-tool app for my container named "stock" (220 dpi) which allowed a better definition of the installed desktop apps. But, as I didn't know the doniks details, I didn't check if the line "Xft.dpi: 220" was in .../user-data/CONTAINERID. However, if desktop apps can be used, especially firefox, all menu bars are always displayed in lowercase; this may be a reference to the doniks details on the line Xft.dpi: 220 ? Emanuele Sorce: the first time I used sturm reader, I activated the button at the bottom of the app and made the settings and font choices, but the margin slider had no effect on them; I add that the sturm-reader's welcome interface did not match the openstore app presentation (empty interface with the only indication to search for a book). Faced with my difficulties, and before reading your last advice, I got discouraged (too fast?) and I ended up uninstalling UT from my nexus 7 to go back to my old rom (resurrection-remix) while waiting for better knowledge on my part in the use of UT . Thanks again for your help. Out of subject: when installing UT, ubports-installer asks for a confirmation of the device and indicates LG as the manufacturer of the nexus 7 flo. I would like to specify that the flo manufacturer is Asus and not lg...

@Aristid If your still getting issues with your OPO and everything is fully up to date and you are sure it's not the battery if you are on stable try RC and if on RC try Development and see if that fixes it. If it doesn't you are best starting a new thread as this one is about OTA-12 and we are now on OTA-14 it will avoid confusing the issue. I will lock this topic now. Thanks for your understanding.
