    The issue was me not having a screen lock passcode defined. Not sure if this is the best way to approach this, a settings page for editing user information (including name and root password) would be useful, that one could then opt out for the screenlock.

That is, unless you actually rooted the Android image. it's still dumb, and I'm not sure unlocked bootloader can be "fixed" without locking the bootloader at the hardware level (which you should not do with Ubuntu Touch).

    Reporting back in case anyone else can benefit later...I got visual voicemail turned-off @ the carrier and this solved it! I DO get a notification when there's a voicemail awaiting and it goes away upon checking/clearing the VM box, but I no longer get the extra text messages. Mission accomplished - thanks @applee and @rocket2nfinity!

    I am having a similar problem. [ Error writing build.prop: Read-only file system ] This is what i get when I try to change the build.prop file. Doesnt matter if I change the permissions with sudo or not. IT just always tells me it is a read only file system. How do I make this a writeable file system. Any ideas.

    @emphrath I think that happens when you open the OpenStore and the Updates page when the updates were still available. So even if you already updated them, they don't refresh their data immediately. As much as I like updating my apps in system settings, I think it's better to remove it. It's possible in the future to have another app store so it's better to have them handle updates instead of the system settings. Actually, there has been discussions about this. t can also be tricky to sync the logic of both updates page.

    @cheesedoctor You can make voice calls on VZW with Mobian on Pinephone? Mobian is using a different telephony stack than Ubuntu Touch uses, and I believe it has VoLTE working, so that could be why.

    @randomuser No easy way to adjust iti system-wide at the moment. Vibration indeed can vary between devices although they are of the same value in the code. And yeah, nexus 5 does have a weaker vibration than others.

    @john-sarghaff It should be in the OpenStore. Have you made sure all the updates are installed from there? Check Updates in System Settings if still no joy. After that I would either swop update channels from system msettings or re run through the installer.

    @applee I was using it, but after it refused to let me in, i deleted it. I didn't have it on in my phone for quite some time, until now when I have reinstalled it.

    Hello. I had the blank white screen on Dekko 2 on BQ Aquaris 4.5, after recent update to UT version 95. Per message from Lakotaubp, on the BQ, went to Open Store, searched Dekko 2, went into the application description. It had an "update" button (to provide latest update dated 15 Feb 2021). Clicked "update" button. All fixed. Dekko 2 working fine now. Thanks for the help, Lakotaubp! And thanks for fixing the qt5.12! G

    @mateo_salta Thank you for the tip. My spouse has a Vollaphone (OTA-15). Bluetooth works well in car with Seat Alhambra 2014 (MediaSync 2.2) for both phone calls and music streaming.
