@garymc I'm not pushing you away but if the terminal is the reason you use UT then you're using it for the wrong reason. You might be better off using other distros like Droidian or postmarketOS.

I got my Aquaris M10 FHD updated to Ubuntu 16.04 this week and wondered if you have made progress in getting PIA installed on 16.04. There is a good web page on how to install PIA for a Raspberry Pi: https://www.raspberrypi-spy.co.uk/2020/06/raspberry-pi-vpn-setup-guide/ It has worked well for my on my pi computers.... but I don't know if it will work for the Ubports Ubuntu Tablet. @jaag It was not planned, but UT did the detox thing for me. I don't have fb and the sorts anymore and I can only vouch for what @Moem said: it's a calmer experience indeed. Notifications are usually far and between and i consume much less videos / games / social and much more books, forums, and interactive novels, thanks mostly to @cybersheep job
