@Leppa We are currently building a list of apps in 3 categories: Core Apps Clock, Calendar, Notes, etc... System Apps Openstore, Settings, etc... Other important Apps Dekko, uNav, ... and probably most of 1) will be in our images. But all of them will be in the openstore for sure! will depend on the support of the original authors, if they want to have it there or not. Hold on for the list, we are finishing that. And oh by the way, Apps are not our priority right now BR

@Donhammer @Bastos We are already accepting Bitcoin donations. You can currently find addresses for individual devices on https://devices.ubports.com/#/. This was placed this way because of the original purpose of UBports but might change soon. We are still working on a website redesign and will try to make Bitcoin donations a little easier and better documented.

Well it will depend a little bit where the code is hosted. I can imagine that if code stays on Launchpad, also bug reporting will be there, if some parts are shifted to Github, we will also move the bug reporting. Currently I have no global answer for that.

Do we still want to make Mir run on top of Wayland, if Canonical is going to keep working on Mir ? So the end goal is running directly on top of Wayland ? What's the option for Meizu Pro 5, if we can't get the Android source ? Is having someone Reverse Engineering the binary blobs an option ? That seems a better long-term solution... Maybe a FAQ could be a good idea ?

I run unofficial LineageOS 14+ (formerly Cyanogenmod) on my device, a Samsung Tab S 8.4 LTE. I have searched many hours over many years through untold XDA forums in regards to Ubuntu Touch but with the latest Unity8 news, there might be more hope for modifying the kernel (like Linuxium does for Baytrail tablets) to run full fledged Ubuntu but alas I have never found it. Android just works too well for the demands involved in doing so. Technically from what I have scoured, the biggest hurdle is related to what is described as the lack ability to do a mount loop. There are a few poorly recorded YouTube videos but with zero documentation, years old now. I was extremely happy to see the Note 2 being listed on UBports as a potential device...but I don't think it suffers the same issue as the Tabs.
