@klh hi, I can be part of the work if you wish ( except c things in ofono ), i'm not very much concerned by unwanted calls, only have few sometimes, but i know it can be very annoying for users. this is something really needed. I've read some Sailfish OS forums about it, apparently the filters are already in place in ofono but lots still to be done: The enablers are there - our ofono supports sms/call filter plugins since last year (yes, something is happening!). When I designed those interfaces, I had this feature in mind too. If we had enough resources, we would have done the remaining parts already. The remaining parts are (as I see it) 1) on-demand dbus service maintaining white/black lists and logs, 2) ofono plugin (for actually ignoring sms and rejecting/dropping calls) and 3) ui to configure white/black lists and view the logs. If somebody is willing to contribute, I'm could review the code (and the architecture) but at this point it looks unlikely that someone at Jolla would start to actively work on it this year. Unless someone does it during his vacation slava (Jul 11 2019)

And I pay $3/mo for sip service. That price has gone up to $5 for new subscribers. That, and my $10/mo data only sim makes the monthly phone bill $15. So, not as expensive as regular phone service in the US with the big three.

@projix You might want to look at this. Not sure if it is what you want but it is possible. Since it is ran on a container you can still do OTA updates.

@domubpkm Is this a recent thing? I don't remember having a problem with this when I switched months ago. As for the OTA update, I think it will only be offered/notified to devices that are already in focal stable. I do remember a plan to also offer the update to xenial devices so perhaps after some time, this will happen.

I found the answer: the little drawer icon on the right is the 'mark read' icon. Click that and then you can select what to mark read. Clicking 'all' will mark everything read.

@JamesSunderland Personally, I don't know. But the principle is when it has been decided that OTA-3 is much better than OTA-2. And it’s always this approach for each new OTA.

Thank you for this great project. I personally use Huawei watch 3 and will be happy to have UT app for it. If I can help with testing or anything else I will be very happy to do so.

@Moem Well, yes, as futur Ubuntu versions will need, like 20.04, minimum Linux kernel versions. So Android Linux kernels to be updated is important for futur support under... 30.04 maybe one day ? For helping long term support to the consumers, Fairphone chose the SOC for the FP5 in an industrial catalog BTW, so that there is long term support from vendor Qualcomm, and so that they don't need to work very hard like they did for android 10 on FP2.

@Rita-G It theoretically will work on all providers..... However it doesn't support VoLTE (Voice over Long term evolution) (yet) which some networks use. In the UK it works on O2, EE, 3 and Vodaphone (plus others that piggy back off these networks). It is also dependent on the device as well, i.e some devices are 2G and 3G only which may cause an issue with network providers removing 3g service.
