No new work has been made by voLTE UT developers. So Bouygues made probably something to make is voLTE more compatible with some smartphones.

@R66F root, you'd probably need to use a custom waydroid gsi with SU binaries. from there just install one of the many root modules/frameworks that let you spoof app id's

For what it's worth, this bug should be solved in 24.04-1.3 (no need to apply a patch script: the sense that the placeholder does not remain open in background anymore). It could still be a nice fix to avoid that it uses a lot of CPU in the first place, as it could possibly allow for faster starts of the apps.

I tried to upgrade the QML libraries & openLayers to latest version, but uNav continues to freeze... This happens from focal.

Just FYI, there is a new 24.04 port in progress for OP6/6T. The porter says it is almost ready. Ports for Pixel 4 and 6 were never finished. There is also a new halium 12 port in progress for p3a. You can test it now. Instructions are here in the forum.

@Teasy Hi and welcome to the forums. You can try the update path through software updates on the tablet. The other way requires a Windows PC, the Lenovo Software fix Tool, the devices serial number and a USB cable to attach the device to the PC.

@flohack Hello, Last year I had to reinstall Android for some months and I used LineageOS. This Android version allows you to run the selinux commands without the need of Magisk. It allows you to run adb shell commands as root with a simple checkbox in the developper settings. I was happy to discover this possibility with LineageOS as I had already restored my data on the phone

The issue was me not having a screen lock passcode defined. Not sure if this is the best way to approach this, a settings page for editing user information (including name and root password) would be useful, that one could then opt out for the screenlock.

I've figure it out that entering 'selection mode' with a long press is precisely what I was looking for. Would still be useful to somehow start the terminal on selection mode and hide the 'Exit selection mode' option

@archie3d It uses the system libsdl2-dev from the ubuntu-sdk-20.04 clickable framework and for that framework the SDL2 package is 2.0.10+dfsg1-3 on Focal/arm64 ...i tend to find even if your building for a newer version of UT you still have to use older packages because there is a break it seems in the versions and packaging being updated? ..idk i do know every time i try to build with newer repos something breaks ....

But now I finally did it and thanks to you I now have the "latest system" on it I'm happy now! Thank you very much! It's true that it won't be for everyday use anymore (I'm using a 6-year-old Huawei Mate 40 Pro Plus on it), but I'm glad that I managed to put Ubuntu on the Meizu

im working on something for printer support and other network sharing things ...actually drop in replacement for content hub its called "workspace" its meant to be a daemon background service because UT does not have one it will lock itself as a open app while that option is selected it cant close so it can keep running in the background and fill all those services ....maybe eventually even actually replace content hub in the long run if it proves itself ...but im designing it to come for content hubs head ...im doing alot so i dont know when

That rules out asking everyone I need to communicate with to add and learn new apps. Asking google about that, answer was that any SMS forwarding solution would be linked to WiFi calling. Can anyone shed light on options here ? or UT plans or progress (testing status, etc) ? Standard SMS can’t be conditionally forwarded like calls when your phone is unreachable—carrier forwarding usually only works for voice, not texts. Your best options are enabling Wi-Fi Calling + SMS over Wi-Fi (if your carrier/phone supports it), or using services like Google Voice or call/text forwarding apps that mirror SMS to another device. Otherwise, your antenna solution (or adding a signal booster) is the most reliable workaround without changing how others contact you.
