Hello friends. I hope you can help me, please. I just received my Volla Tablet's keyboard and stylus accessories. Unfortunately... I'm not sure what I'm missing here but I can't get either to work. The pins are in full contact with the keyboard as far as I can estimate but no touchpad or key input is working. From what I see online the pins are meant to draw power from the tablet itself to power the keyboard, with no bluetooth connectivity or charging intended. Regardless I put a USB-C cable inside to "charge" and as you might expect that didn't seem to induce charging but rather it makes the keyboard backlights flicker slightly a few times on each connection. I believe the USB-C port is for external accessories but, again, if the pins aren't performing their intended function for whatever reason I doubt the port will function either. I can't reasonably infer that the tablet's own "female" pins would have worn out in the several months I've owned the tablet, given they have been recessed and protected by the original case which I received along with the tablet. What I can positively say so far is that it is working well as a stand in landscape orientation, and as a protective slip cover when folded up like a laptop. I charged the stylus (speaking politely, it would be a positive feature to include a small printed guide with it, or a video on the product page) to the point where the light turns green and switches on and off. The product description page states that it doesn't leverage bluetooth either, instead using an electromagnetic field. It doesn't give any signs of response when used on the touchscreen, unlike my fingers. Not with the tablet nor indeed for any other mobile device with a touchscreen (hmm perhaps with a Nintendo DS/2DS/3DS but any old non-battery powered stylus would work on that family of consoles regardless). I don't even know if it's on or off beyond the light remaining on and green and nor do I know how one would power it off (surely it's not intended to simply be constantly powered on until the battery drains 100% and then for it to be recharged?). Naturally I am testing both of these devices on Ubuntu Touch and don't dual boot VollaOS to see how they'd function in that environment. Can anyone please help diagnose these issues with their experiences? Video coverage would be most appreciated but text is great too. I guess I'd better check the compensatory (as in a freebie as these products were delayed) bluetooth headset too...

The standard and only qt_version settable in clickable.yaml is still 5.12...shouldn't this be 5.15 for the new noble system?

@UBportsNews Firstly thanks to the community, Ubuntu Touch on my Fairphone 4 on 24.04-1.1 RC1 is awesome! I would like to ask regarding the future of Ubuntu Touch, is it planned to move away from a Ubuntu base and move to something like Debian for example? If not, what are the advantages of a Ubuntu base?

@atarilinux I can confirm this behaviour. But only the notification/ ringing of the incoming call is transmitted with this ugly noise. After accepting the call, the call itself is continued without an unwanted noise. Only the call-notification is affected. Noble daily 313

I struggled with this on UT. Eventually I installed dufs webdav server and I've been using that with morph. I can download files from the PC easily and I can push files to the PC easily as well using a web browser. I can even stream videos from the PC this way! @pparent Waydroid and libertine aren't app distribution channels and snaps are just terrible (and centralized with a proprietary backend). Maybe if there was proper Flatpak support in UT, but that still wouldn't give us click-packages.

Thank you guys! I got it figured out. I am new to this and did not dive deep enough into the documentation. I am now done with most, if not all, of the features for my app. I am now just filling it with content. This was helpful for anyone that may read this down the line and is having similar confusion: https://ubports.gitlab.io/docs/api-docs/index.html?p=lomiriuserinterfacetoolkit%2Flomiri-theming-styles.html Sorry for not getting back sooner. Been so caught up with life and working on the app I almost forgot about actually posting to the forums. Look forward to becoming more active around these parts! Have a wonderful rest of your day!

@Ian said in personalize your device, login avatar: UT only has one user - phablet, wonder if anyone has tried adduser on a UT system (taking care of using --extrausers of course) As I have just installed UT I'm not keen on breaking it immediately
