RE: Ubuntu Touch Q&A 189 call for questions
@UBportsNews I know that its not allowed to talk about devices, but I find it worth to mention this link to the devs:
https://forums.ubports.com/topic/12216/eventual-port-for-a-pixel-9a/2
because irs a quite new device and a very high version of android. So maybe someone is inspired by this to make a real port out of it. -
Eventual port for a pixel 9a?
I contacted the guy who succeeded in installing UT on a pixel 9a to ask if this is going to be a real port. He answered the following:
"I’m slowly working on moving my mess of local repositories with untracked changes to git repositories with CI builds so the whole thing is reproducible. I‘m hoping that I’ll find some time in the next weeks to wrap that up.
Afterwards, it depends on if I can make the install procedure beginner friendly or not. I’ll need to look into the Halium recovery. So no promises from my side for a real port. I‘d like to see it, but maybe someone else will need to build on top of what I have."

RE: Ubuntu Touch Q&A 189 call for questions
@UBportsNews Do things from the 24.04-2.x channel land in 24.04-1.x? And if not, what is the actual difference between these two branches?

Where is a good place here in the forum to post this?

RE: Call for testing: Ubuntu Touch 24.04-1.3
@peat_psuwit Today on Volla Quintus sveral apps did not work, i.e. Mastodon, uDiaspora. After a restart everything went fine again.

RE: Triangular signal strength indicator not functioning
@Jules yes, since 24.04, rc 1,2 and 3 on a volla quintus with UT as single os.
Additionally phone sometimes switches to "L" after leaving home, but has no mobile data. Then, as a workaround I switch to flightmode and back, then it searches again and is connecting correctly. -
RE: Ubuntu Touch Q&A188 call for questions.
