Again today. And some other webs (control panel from my web hosting). Good! (BTW I got a VPN, so we're good). Internet provider told me to use Tor (how progressive) I'm using OONI to record the issue https://explorer.ooni.org/domain/repo2.ubports.com?since=2025-11-14&until=2025-12-14

@sentinel hello, Let's try to figure out why you have these unusual problems in order to fix them. First can I ask you which version of MIUI did you flash before installing Ubuntu Touch? The version of waydroid on my device is 20-20250809-VANILLA-waydroid_arm64

3600 seconds limit for edits? Really?!? Anyway, another attempt on a Mint Debian Edition computer instead of my usual minimal Devuan install gets further along. Hopefully it's ready within an hour so I can update my post. EDIT: flashing worked fine, also VoLTE is active now, which is nice.

@Sentinel said in Smooth Edges (name pending) - Let's Fix the Bugs That Drive You Mad: I felt my post looked quite similar to many others early in the thread Well, yes, absolutely, I was too harsh in singling you out, because for sure some other people were also doing the same. The point I was trying to make is that a big part of being a leader is to priorize, and it's particularly important with a small project like UT, and thinking that priorization is easy is a very big mistake, leaders are not omniscient people who know miraculously how to best priorize. Putting a few dozen prople together to enumerate all what is bugging them is not so useful if no reasoning is done on why the points made are important from the point of view of wider adoption.

@alaskalinuxuser said in Call for testing - Kaidan 0.6.0 for Focal/Noble.: Good news! Awesome! ^__^ In landscape mode the list of contacts scrolls and you can select ones from the bottom. It works! The keyboard height is now figured mathmatically, so it should scale for everyone and work/look proper. Well done! In landscape or portrait mode, the search bar is now wider and usable. It is wider, indeed. It has some overlap though Nothing terrible If you swipe up or down a conversation, the ListView will go over the top Search or the bottom TextArea [image: 1765661754221-83958ec8-c906-4235-8292-be81a469bf28-imatge.png] [image: 1765661735185-f3011fc4-cafb-4f44-be22-63905281d541-imatge.png]

@linhmieu Here is the Port Development Guide. Read through that first, and ask specific questions as they come up.

Hello, I am currently running Ubuntu Unity 24.04 with Unity 7.7 desktop. I was wondering if it is possible to install Lomiri alongside to play around with it and switch between Unity 7.7 and Lomiri from the LightDM. I tried running Lomiri on Debian 13 but it did not work with multi-monitor in my case and so I cannot change to Lomiri as a primary desktop until this is repaired (as I see from the website, this is "under construction", per se). I love Unity and love to see the future of how this desktop develops as Lomiri formerly Unity 8. Thank you!!

@uxes That is a great program, but I heard that ATL relies on GTK. Which is not integrated into UT. And besides, list of supported apps is limited compared to Waydroid.

@wally Oh you are right. I thought T9 is what you call the old school way of typing on keypad phones It is called multi-tap apparently which is kinda generic and boring LOL
