    @projectmoon The main problem that currently prevents using Wayland for electron apps, is that the On-Screen-Keyboard cannot work with GTK+Wayland+Mir1.x . By the way the Merezhyvo Browser ( popriatary app ! ) is an electron app using Wayland, but it has found it's way around this problem by coding it's own OSK inside the app itself, which is not really a way I want to go. (Especially for Signal because I want to modify the code only as strictly necessary, and also because for Signal there are other problems when it comes to using it in Wayland mode with Mir1.x). Anyway I've already tried it (see in the Signal UT topic), and reallu the best is to wait for Mir2.x, I hope it won't be in too long.

    15 sec adb installed the driver for the phone onto my computer which made this installer recognize it automatically, and then the installer moved past this stage. It's taking a long time to download and for the past few minutes hasn't moved past "Downloading file 1 of 12". I'll try these troubleshooting things, but I only have one cable.

    Hope this helps fixing the bug. In my opinion it seems that for me this issue isn't happening as often as in earlier days. But this also could be imagination.

    @redi I absolutely agree, you can only do none-encrypted direct messages at the moment, and until Ubuntu Touch updates the version of qt, we aren't getting any updates for a while. HOWEVER, it is one of "our" apps that has quite a few devs working on it, and seemingly somewhat Beaver-ishly on. Files are being merged soon here Synchronization is here And the keyboard bug is Here General issues/all issues are here So yeah, I agree, Kaidan isn't really usable atm, however, I have a lot of faith in the developers to improve it, and it will be very usable by the time we have a qt 5.12 on our devices.     Mir/Wayland and newer Unity 8 are completely unrelated to the video decoding issues experienced on Nexus 5 with the hardware decoder.

    Please REMEMBER that U1 account removal is not in OTA-10, but 11! For current stable you still need a U1 account... I dont know how we managed to get that wrong information into the community but I heard it now from multiple sources. Please spread the word about this. Just create a usual U1 account and then also TELEports will work out of the box.

    @emailforfor just for the record, BQ was acquired by a Vietnamese company (Vingroup) at the end of last year. Probably that's a big reason why they don't care about old products anymore. This was the official PR note: https://www.bq.com/en/pr-vingroup

    The only device I used and I still use it heavily as a daily driver is the Pro 5 and I recommend it with all my heart!

    How to delete (and reinstall) fluendo mp3 decoder?

    In 2017 I have deleted the fluendo decoder on Nexus 4, M10 FHD and E5. It was 15.04 system. (and installed gst-ugly plugins) All devices sounds with mp3-files much better! For me... FLAC or ogg sounds very good without any change. Same effect on desktop machine... It is not a UT specific problem... I prefer classical music and use very good headphones... Well, using an old Nokia N900 (Linux Debian system...), there is very fine sound with mp3-files out of the box...
