    The issue was me not having a screen lock passcode defined. Not sure if this is the best way to approach this, a settings page for editing user information (including name and root password) would be useful, that one could then opt out for the screenlock.

    @R66F root, you'd probably need to use a custom waydroid gsi with SU binaries. from there just install one of the many root modules/frameworks that let you spoof app id's

    why do we have it on UT and UBports? Resource limits? Very definitely to limit resource consumption. On a mobile phone you have very different expectations about battery life. I think UT sigstops the process when the app switches to background.

    @fred56 While inserting my SIM card into my Aquaris E5 under UBports, I have a problem: I can not run my cell. He tells me that my SIM card is not registered. He accepted my PIN. When I go to "Cellular Parameters / Operator & APN / Operator", the operator search is automatically performed, mine is found (Free) but it refuses me to select it. When I return to "Carrier & APN", the entry "Carrier" remains at "None" I had no such problem with my latest Canonical Ubuntu Touch, so I do not think it comes from my phone, my SIM card or the E5. What can I do ? is there a configuration file to edit? Fred

    @Lakotaubp Switched to Stable last night from System Settings>Updates>Update Settings>Chanels and this morning it is switched back to RC again (haven't gone to System>About This Device>Check For Updates since last night). Think I'm just going to have to re-flash it. It's odd, I remember being able to switch back and forth before (think it was when a bug with the Notes app was fixed).

Just get spinning wheel of doom : ) I wipe out all data (including the config data) with the teak tool, and then I could login and logout and I'm asked always for the credentials on login. But, after the second login only a white screen with the hamburger on the left (Join room / Log out / About) and the bulb icon on the right (for changing to the dark vision) is presented. Is this app really working for someone?

    well.. sometimes after the first installation some things can be buggy.. you need at least to reboot it.

    @guru Many thanks guru. I've just carried out those steps and so far dekko2 seems to be working well, having overcome previous problems. If they re-occur, I'll post the output from the log.

    @jezek i use the same mobile carrier as you in Poland. I assume that we both cannot properly configure settings that are required by our carrier. I'm just wondering if there is any chance to check what has been changed in ofono code since Ubuntu Touch.

    @myii Thank You for the hint! The phone was "clean" (resetted to factory settings) when I flashed it so there was nothing but the android-system on it - but I think I´ll rather reinstall and choose wipe-option this time...
