@bearbobs sorry for the late reply its been busy with work...did you have to host the emulationstation?....because not sure how to host from within a clickable.....Iv seen the project before but have not really done anything with it....if it runs totally client side its do able....but if it needs hosting I don't think it can be done....the nes I'm working on is a heavily modded JavaScript emulator runs totally client side i added touch support fixed up the audio and added a lot of mapper support.....one big issue is the webview out of the box is....well lacking...if you load mario you will see black squares around the clouds and other sprites...not the emulator but the webview....

@keneda Thank you! Strangely, I tried it again and it worked. The only thing I did differently this time was to create a small contacts.db (mine is 1.8 MB so I thought that the size might be the problem), move it into the directory and after a restart the contacts were shown. Then I deleted it, moved my 1.8 MB contacts.db into the directory and it worked. I have no idea why. I don't think my antics with the smaller file had anything to do with it. Anyway, thank you: Without your insistence that the contacts are saved in contacts.db I would not have tried it again.

@tswanshi USB ports have resistors that act as fuses so a USB port should in essence not blow a motherboard. It sounds like the graphics part of the motherboard probably decided to coincidentally give up the ghost. Being a DELL, this is not wholly surprising as the majority of DELL laptops I have repaired usually are overheating due to the bad design of the heatsink and fan and the lack or too much of the thermal compound they use on the CPU and graphics chip.

@ubuntoutou Have you registered on the website?, there are some websites that don't show you the recharge points until you register, this happens with Electromaps, this one works with Morph, try it ... https://www.electromaps.com https://map.electromaps.com it use Open street maps for the maps. @alma The BQ Aquaris M10HD is very old and nigh on impossible to get hold of. If you want a tablet, look at the Lenovo M10 X605F/L. However I would look at a phone over a tablet as all devices have their quirks and find one with the easiest experience to begin with. The Pixel 3a springs to mind or a Oneplus 5 or 5T.

@nightmare17726 said in Ubuntu Touch: if not, why not? The answer is generally 'because no one has put in the time and effort to make it happen'. Plus, some devices are simply not suitable for technical reasons. By the way, supported devices are listed here. Your 'old' Pixel 3a is one of the best options.

@keneda @kugiigi Thank you both for your answers, both were helpful. I will look into making an official request or implementing the layout myself. I don't have the skill to write a config file from scratch, but I might be able to put one together using an example.

@domubpkm said in history-service attachments: @lduboeuf Ok thanks, I must not have been looking in the right place. Can we install the MR now outside the channels or still wait for modifications ? If yes can you give me the command line please. if you are on devel: sudo ubports-qa install PR_history-service_15 Is the merge request suposed to update what has not been deleted from the old MMS? unfortunately no, a script would be needed . But you know, time.... This will only allow to delete the attachment when you delete a MMS. Thanks again for these clarifications.

@yk102 and use waydroid stop in the helper to fix the issues of it not restarting. Your issue with sudo is most likely you have to remount the / partition as rw because system files are not modifyable by default on UT - but not only (unless you make a daemon in upstart) you'll have to do this each restart, but also next update would wipe these scripts and permission changes

@aimar Thank you for the link. In my case for my BQ E5 HD android that I flashed UT years ago, it's the power button that gives me trouble and responds badly: not easy to turn my BQ on or off. It is true that I hardly use it anymore except for tests or on wifi.
