@hlbkv gnome software can handle debs and flatpaks (and on Ubuntu also snaps I think). The app itself is a deb, so it is not surprising that it can be installed. The apps that end up being able to be installed with it are probably also debs.

@bamboy360 said in Elevate Push Notifications from WayDroid to UT?: Someone there mentioned using KDEConnect as a workaround. I might look into that next. I suspect this was aimed primarily at desktop Linux, although any mobile Linux where KDE/GConnect shows notifications would work as well. Unfortunately, at the moment UT is not one of those where it would work out of the box. But feel free to experiment, maybe you can make it work.

A good behaviour I try to follow is to never directly remove an app. First I use UTTT to clean cache, config and data folders. Then I remove the app. This prevent your system to cumulate old folders. If someone have more tips that would be great

@keneda Thanks for that. Since my last message I have another log for comparison from just a moment ago when Contacts opened normally. Unfortunately Pastebin is bombarding me with cookies and advertisements that are difficult to eliminate so I refuse to use it. I'll look for another way to present the logs.

@levone1 I'm almost sold on the idea. Surprisingly there are no secondhand models for sale on Ebay in the UK, and only two new from either Germany or China. I'll keep looking for secondhand.

@lsitongia Dev gets daily updates so you are well past OTA-20. As you suggest the OTA update is only a matter for the stable channel really. RC gets it as part of the weekly update schedule the week before. This is where the final testing is done.

I am considering this issue resolved. I did a full new clean install, overwriting data, using 8.9 installer. The installer errored 2 times but after selecting ignore it finished and everything so far looks like it is working as it should. The somewhat clean re-install seems to have resolved the issue.

Hi @emphrath I think that's a known issue, but I didn't search for it. I bet the fix should be on the Gallery app. The Gallery app shall scan for new pictures when opened via the Content Hub instead of just when the app is launched. That is a good issue to start with if someone is interested to give some love to the Gallery app.

My waydroid init was interrupted, so i did these apt remove waydroid apt purge waydroid sudo rm -rf /var/lib/waydroid /home/.waydroid ~/waydroid ~/.share/waydroid ~/.local/share/applications/*aydroid* ~/.local/share/waydroid reboot phone and start the installation process again. My /var/lib/waydroid folder was not removed but re-installation worked fine ! followed from here: https://github.com/waydroid/docs/blob/master/usage/install-on-desktops.md You might want to stop the service before uninstalling too...check the original post.

@somannak This is knows issue in Anbox. Best way to fix is simply to pull down the scopes (app list) to refresh the screen. This will remove the duplicate apps. However, note that Anbox is not maintained anymore and doesn't run well... I strongly advise you to install WayDroid instead, (www.waydro.id) at least if your device is ported to Halium 9 or higher.

@migue5862 Seems like it is a reporting error of some sort. The issue I have seen needed the logs to be phsically reset fromm the terminal so yours seems different to that. Good idea on keeping an eye on for now. If you feel this is down to the device we can move it. For now let's leave it where it is.

@anonymoustly If it doesn't work with Morph than it needs a dedicated app. Maybe one can come up with something based on a webapp, but I guess Amazon didn't plan their service with Ubuntu Touch in mind...

@elhombrefeliz Thanks for the post. I have tried this on my Nexus 7 (2013) flo and am getting a "VPN Connection Failed The VPN connection --- failed because..." but it is impossible to see what comes after "because..." I have no experience with OpenVPN. I have followed your post to the letter, except of course using a different Mullvad server. I have noticed that my "m" for the password does not remain after editing. Ubuntu Touch build OTA-19.

Hi @swisskoala Yes this is a very old thread. It's better if you create a new one in the dedicated Meizu category. You can refer to this thread so people know what you're refering to. Also specify what is your initial issue as updating the modem might not have been the right move to begin with...

As someone who owns the ZUK Z2 Pro the Xiaomi phones are a bit weird to me and I had a lot of issues finding the right tools for my Xiaomi 9T when I started Unlocking it and playing around with Custom ROMs and stuff soo the first and most important advice I can give you is : Have A LOT of patience with it! Now the actually (hopefully) helpfull part : Install their Flashing Tool under Windows : https://c.mi.com/in/miuidownload/detail?guide=2 This will give you the right Drivers and stuff Install their Unlocking Tool under Windows : https://en.miui.com/unlock/download_en.html This will give you the ability to Unlock the Bootloader after you login with your Mi Account. Please let me know if this worked and if not then what the error is and any other details!
