@bearbobs sorry for the late reply its been busy with work...did you have to host the emulationstation?....because not sure how to host from within a clickable.....Iv seen the project before but have not really done anything with it....if it runs totally client side its do able....but if it needs hosting I don't think it can be done....the nes I'm working on is a heavily modded JavaScript emulator runs totally client side i added touch support fixed up the audio and added a lot of mapper support.....one big issue is the webview out of the box is....well lacking...if you load mario you will see black squares around the clouds and other sprites...not the emulator but the webview....

Thank you very much for the information potet said in Recharge points for electric cars: @ricardo65 Not sure if it's what you had in mind, but this functionality already exists in Pure Maps: Install & open Pure Maps Settings -> Places nearby Chose radius and select 'EV Charging Station' as type Search using the button in the top right corner Press the button that appears in the top right corner of the results page to see the results marked on the map. Hope thats helpful!

@z4rc No, Ubuntu Touch itself is not built for running a kiosk mode system. If you want to build a kiosk device there are better solutions for that than trying to use Ubuntu Touch.

@cliffcoggin Yeah the idea was that Porting is for developer discussions. So yeah, lets move that elsewhere, I still think top level devices would be better than substructure of Support, to make it more visible.

@emphrath I changed the profile to "online maps" only, and rerouting now works fine.

@emphrath The Android HAL is incompatible with GNU libc and traditional Linux multimedia software. It's less about "kernel divergence" than about how binary drivers are built on top of it to work differently than traditional Linux distributions.

@diagon It might be a discussion for Off Topic but not in a really old thread about the merits or not of Signal or Telegram in general. If you want to start a discussion on those issues then feel free to do so in OT as no doubt similar issues affect more than these platforms. Also be Careful with links to off forum sites

@c0n57an71n I admit, this is an advantage of the PinePhone. I also miss a dual boot option for Ubuntu Touch. Some apps only work on newer Android releases. I currently carry around three different Samsung Galaxy S5 devices with different Android versions. Each for it's on purpose. One for ANT+, one for writing capability to the SD card, and one for phone calls the latest Android apps. With Ubuntu Touch, there will be one device more. Multi boot could solve the problem.

@paugier Interresting. As the app just uses the webcontainer I doubt I can do anything regarding memory consumption. I didn't have the issue neither on OPO nor on Volla. Can you maybe link an example or a channel you follow where this happens.

So if I have an Ubuntu Touch, and turn flight mode on -- basically it is very unlikely anyone will be tracking meat that point. Even the ISP, right? In the video above, Google only knew where the man had been, because it was all recorded and uploaded by Google software on the phone, when he turned his phone back on. Or, short of that, I could probably just put the phone in a faraday bag.

@jojumaxx Yes, because of confinement, apps should often copy file into their own space. For media files, the best is to store them in the dedicated folders then the app with matching right can access them directly without the need to copy them. You can see how much space each app is taking if you need to clear that space...
