Hello! I'm a sysadmin at Luleå Academic Computer Society, LUDD, and we host mirrors at https://ftp.ludd.ltu.se/. We've already got a registered Ubuntu mirror, and as such I'm wondering if its possible to contribute a Ubuntu Touch image/package(click?) mirror or similar? Is there any contact point I can reach out to?

@Sentinel said in No GPS access from inside Waydroid: maybe the MIUI version I flashed might have impacted Waydroid's reliability or other things? Yes — this can significantly affect UT. The MIUI image version to use is specified in the installation guide under "2. Check the correct version of MIUI", and it looks like you used the correct one. I can't explain the unusual bugs you've reported. Did you remount the system as read-write and make any changes? Did you use apt (update/upgrade/install)? I'm fine with starting a new discussion thread.

@Aristid If your still getting issues with your OPO and everything is fully up to date and you are sure it's not the battery if you are on stable try RC and if on RC try Development and see if that fixes it. If it doesn't you are best starting a new thread as this one is about OTA-12 and we are now on OTA-14 it will avoid confusing the issue. I will lock this topic now. Thanks for your understanding.

My problem has been resolved in both Puremaps and Unav. It only needed location detection to be enabled again. That's something to watch for at the next OTA update.

@tosaitheoir Need more details - cell provider and type (cdma or gsm)? Most likely, you need to set your APN. See Pinephone wiki regarding APN and cell networks. It's on the Pine64 forums Make sure you have data enabled in the cellular settings menu first

@AppLee said in Music app, Bluetooth and 3.5mm headphone jack controls?: I think pulseaudio might be deeper integrated to the OS than bluez hence... Yes, there are patches for pulseaudio to work on Android HAL (hybris) and to provide the trust prompt for microphone, which are undoubtedly broken by newer pulseuadio versions which have better bluetooth support.

As far as I know, it was only recently implemented for Wifi so it might not be available yet for mobile data which I assume is more complicated.

@poVoq SIM contact storage is very limited. Nowadays smartphones allow for thousands of contacts (virtually unlimited). It can be very tedious to back them up by couple of hundreds IIRC and you'll loose additional information like birthday, secondary numbers, address, email address, ...

@MixMac Oh, that's nice. I'm curious to know how it works. Does it sound an alarm at wake time with a simple user interface or does it wake the phone up completely before triggering the alarm ? They probably run a custom bootloader able to exchange data with the alarm app and that's probably not open sourced... (or maybe it is) Then during the night, the phone is not really turned off but on a very deep sleep with only the bootloader running.

@Alvescosta It sounds like a hardware issue to me. If you want to be sure, you could consider reinstalling Android and checking on that. But you should also consider i going through the trouble is worth it for you.

@antonyj Indeed, do not download the Anbox image on the Nexus 5. It is already pre-installed by default. Doing so might creating bugs. Just start here: sudo mount -o rw,remount / sudo apt update sudo apt install anbox-ubuntu-touch android-tools-adb anbox-tool install exit If you have an error message telling you an insufficient memory in /var, you can try as following: sudo mount -o rw,remount / sudo rm -r /var/cache/apt # delete the apt cache; frees space on system image sudo tune2fs -m 0 /dev/loop0 # space reserved exclusively for root user on system image set to zero sudo apt update # recreate apt cache to install Anbox and adb sudo apt install anbox-ubuntu-touch android-tools-adb sudo mount -o ro,remount / exit

I believe someone was experimenting with morph to support dark mode or inverse color mode. Haven't tried it myself though.

There is no problem if PIN security is set to "off", but I figure out... There is no problem if you use one SIM for "data" (e.g. SIM 1, that it is "/usr/ofono...ril_0") and you toggle the other one (SIM 2, "usr/...ril_1") off/on. But if you switch off the SIM on which "cellular data" is "on", the phone automatically switches "cellular data" to the other SIM and this remains even also restoring "on" the previous SIM: you have to manually reset it in the "settings". Be careful! This happens even if "cellular data" is turned off before taking action. "Cellular data" will be active on the other sim anyway!
