@Alain This featute isn't in UT/Lomiri yet. Simplest way is to make something like a home screen app and there are some that exists already like Launcher Modular. Not sure they have app groups though. You can contribute to them if you don't want to make your own. However, they obviously act like a normal app. Best you can do is pin it to the Launcher for easy access. Or you can contribute to Lomiri and implement it in the App drawer which definitely needs some love There's even a bounty for it so there's money to get

I've updated the "Mount_WaydroidHome.sh" script, so the WaydroidHome folder is writable from Ubuntu Touch (without using sudo): #!/bin/bash ## Set-up commands #mkdir ~/WaydroidHome #chmod 755 ~/WaydroidHome #sudo chmod 777 ~/.local/share/waydroid/data/media/0 ## Bind mount Waydroid's home folder if it's not already mounted, and then ensure it (and all sub-folders) stay read/write-able by the Ubuntu Touch user set -e /usr/bin/findmnt -rno SOURCE,TARGET /home/phablet/WaydroidHome >/dev/null || /usr/bin/mount --bind /home/phablet/.local/share/waydroid/data/media/0 /home/phablet/WaydroidHome while /usr/bin/true; do /usr/bin/sleep 5 if [[ ! "$(/usr/bin/stat -c "%a" /home/phablet/WaydroidHome)" == *7 ]]; then /usr/bin/find /home/phablet/WaydroidHome -type d ! -perm -o+rwx -print0 | /usr/bin/xargs -0 -I {} /usr/bin/chmod o+rwx '{}' fi done WARNING: The above scripts work for me, but I haven't tested it thoroughly, or even for that long, and it may contain security flaws. It is (as I said before) just a 'quick hack'. In the spirit of open source, I hope other people will provide improvements to it.

Hi all, after months of use of my OPO now, about 1 month I have a wifi issue. When I activate wifiit doesn't link to any SSID. I reboot and all is ok but... connection doesn't go. I must disable wifi and use my provider data. Other issue is when my OPO is linked to my home SSID and I go at work, OPO is always linked to my home SSID and not to my school SSID. Thanks, Rocco

@sagrotan the App might be 32bit-only. I am afraid there is no other way to transfer files, sorry. And Bluetooth in general isn´t great on UT, thats not a direct fault of the device

@saveurlinux You may be better off starting a new thread as this thread is very old and the issues involved have probably been fixed by now for their device. Also could you add what update channel you are on. The screen should wake up automatically. You could try moving to another update channel from system settings and see if that fixes it or reinstall the channel you are on from the installer (please don't select the wipe option).

@steffi Glad it worked out. Can you try the "Topic Tools" menu to "Ask a question". And then use it again to "Mark as solved". It might help others find the solution to a similar problem. If you are not yet allowed to do so, let me know and I'll do it for you.

See: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/5152/music-app-bluetooth-and-3-5mm-headphone-jack-controls Seems like the Bluetooth controls are not yet implemented, but hopefully it should come soon.

@TotalSonic I used to do Uber and Lyft. I've been using it as a test case. It's good on data. (Maybe Wifi, drivers cancel and I wasn't charged this time.) The browser app isn't as good as the main app-- but it's good enough. I bought a Nexus 4 for $35 to have an Ubuntu phone. This'll work till we make it better!

@darkeye Not all devices have external SD card support. And well, you immediately lose 1GB of storage by reserving it for swap, anyway.

@Chim Hi and welcome! I don't know what type of files plays the Music Player, but you can convert the files to the format that is playable. Regarding the version: if you are on stable and no OTA updates are available than you're good. You can check that in Settings/Updates/Update settings and change to RC, dev or stable accordingly.

@matteo Thanks Matteo. I think I now know what a daemon is. I have wifi data usage recorded. Next time I get a mobile signal I can test if that records as well.

Hi, you can put feature requests here: https://github.com/ubports/ubports-installer/issues. In general, installation is never stuck for half an hour except you got a slow internet, its basically downloading 500MB of data the firt time you use it, for each channel. If you install devel for example, every day there would be a new image, so the installer will fetch that.
