@hlbkv gnome software can handle debs and flatpaks (and on Ubuntu also snaps I think). The app itself is a deb, so it is not surprising that it can be installed. The apps that end up being able to be installed with it are probably also debs.

I also have an x23 and ran into all that. I worked the issue to a halium mismatch. The Waydroid Helper app uses v13 and the base install covers up to v11 and guess where our phone sits. Its v12. So eventually I'll dive into it and probably just end up building an x23 specific version which I'll drop in here and on GitHub. I have no clue when I'll get to it though, I have like 5 other major projects from custom kernels, a few apps, a homelab server to finish, and getting my volla to run android apps. But don't worry some of us are hammering this issue out.

@Mystic-X said in Nexus 4 latest update causes error and no complete boot: But still I'm a little shocked about that... I'm not, edge is not to be used by end users for daily, even dev, like said Aplee, should not. End user who want to test in a daily device should stick to RC.

@Jules OTA13 is out and with it a newer QtWebEngine for Morph browser. So Morph has now a more recent version of chromium and with it better support of various websites. Can you mark the thread as solved. Or if you can't you can ask and I'll do it for you.

@prog-amateur Hi, sadly OTA13 will not help. Halium7 port for the Nexus5 might help but this port still needs some work. I don't have a real status, but if you're willing, you can help: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/3777/call-for-testing-nexus-5-hammerhead-owners

@Keneda I won't say otherwise. But I will still say that not all was done in one day for the volla-phone which did not leave from a totally unknown land but to be explored...

@AppLee When I added my comment to the issues list there was a request from Eran seeking a new maintainer. https://gitlab.com/ubports/apps/camera-app/-/issues/160

MTP is an Android thing so it's not automatically available on the Pinephone and Pinetab. I think they do plan to have to though. For now you can use WifiTranser or SSH/SFTP (which I much prefer than wired connection).

thanks @Keneda , @AppLee no, this is not my daily phone. I used to use stable channel, but because of this issue, I flash the edge channel, hoping that it's fixed there..

@arubislander thanks, byobu looks like it would help as a workaround, but also pretty useful generally too!

Remember that this does not affect calls. Its only about mobile data, so the only thing you need to have on the radar is the fact if your device is 4G-capable. Ubuntu Touch will continue to work as today. Only removal of 2G will require VoLTE-capable devices and operating system.

I've so far found zero patterns regarding file types or sizes, nor mobile data vs wifi, nor VPN or not. Sometimes I get my file, mostly not. Its a bit frustrating as I (edit: would like to) use my phone for email quite a lot, this coupled with the not sending emails on an equally random basis issue makes it quite unworkable.

Thanks, yes I tried closing and opening the app, thinking exactly what you confirmed, but no joy. I have also tried different apps for audio source, same issue. in the bluetooth settings, this headset is shown with a headset symbol against it, rather than a music smbol (this is an assumption based on other phones / car stereos), as I'd have imagined it to display. Cheers

@arubislander The usefulness of the cp and mv commands is that they can be currently being used as a workaround for a very annoying bug on the Pinephone : https://gitlab.com/ubports/community-ports/pinephone/-/issues/53

@C0n57an71n haha  I've been in Venice this summer and yes by night it's not that easy. I used PureMaps just to see my approximate location and the direction I had to head up. Then I checked my position mostly on bridges with less signal bouncing off the buildings. To be more on topic, I'd say that's also why we have the forum. We can ask question like this one, debate wether you needed help then wether or not to open a feature request.
