I just got a document from Jolla regarding the problem with Android 9 and Sailfish OS installations. Interesting for me was that there seems NOT to be any way to install their system in the today status on Android 9 phones - so Jolla developed a way to degrade Android 9 phones to Android 8 - and than install SFOS. So probably this idea could be regarded for other systems to!??

@cembra hi, I've moved this thread to Off topic. As that model is not in the supported devices list (https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/) you'd need to port it (http://docs.ubports.com/en/latest/porting/introduction.html). Someone started this https://github.com/Halium/projectmanagement/issues/115 so maybe you can help them.

Hello @mateo_salta. I think that's your address... Could you tell us a few words about the new browser that you plan to develop and whether the forum may be of any use in providing you with our future feedback? Thank you.

@DiosdePactos You can't without porting the device yourself. This is the list of current supported devices https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/ Porting info can be found here https://forums.ubports.com/topic/2068/halium-first-steps I am also moving this topic as per this https://forums.ubports.com/topic/206/will-you-port-to-device-x thank You for your understanding.

Thanks for the pick-me-up, @Flohack. Perhaps there will be some more, positive attention once the Pine Phone version of UT is working well.

@domubpkm The mobile version has some options out (or hidden), so that's right, you can switch to desktop view for the ones you miss

@Stefano I agree: fragmentation of the marketplace ought to be good for UT: an imperative being that we need to get it on hardware at point of sale. (I have been half expecting an announcement from Micro$oft too, suggesting they might have another go.)
