It's better that Ut doesn't see it so it doesn't ask you to format the sd, if you do that you lose everything, it's not just for android, you also want to use the sd in a video or photo camera,
You never know where you can use it.

@linix Please mark as solved using the cog wheel ( top right) on your original post. Then ask as question, mark as solved. It will aid others. Thanks, and well done on sticking with it.
@dag-obert
Autonomy will only increase if you have an [AM]OLED screen, on LCD screens, this will not change anything as backlight stay on whether screen is white or black. This could change a bit with led backlighted screens with high localised dimming, but there is not such screens on smartphones.
What settings do you talk about?
Settings for an app stay when this app is updated.
Settings for the OS stay when OS is updated.
Settings for the OS done under UTTT app stay whether UTTT or the OS are updated.
I was finally able to change the APN in the settings. It seems that it has to be tried more than once until it sticks.
Otherwise the double SIM works well (I tried with two SIM that I didn't need to fiddle with the APN settings) under OTA-17. I didn't try MMS though, I've never sent or received a MMS in 20+ years of using cell phones.
@pascal Hey Pascal.
I recommend you to open the bootloader manually. Works best on a Linux system. If you opened the bootloader, the installation of UT with the UT Installer should work.
fastboot flashing unlock
is the command you should use. Keep in mind that the phone must be set into the fastboot mode to execute this. If the VollaOS is installed you have to close the bootloader with
fastboot flashing lock
This had helped me to switch from UT to VollaOS
@arubislander Hey @arubislander no problemo. If you could point out where or what i need to look out for in the log files, i' m good to go. I can then post the part that's needed.
Thanks for all the help!
@marco said in No MMS on Vollaphone with Free Mobile ?:
for the sim yes it is super recent,
Okay. At least that's a start.. Something probably changed. I'll try to find an open store (because Covid) and ask around. Thank you.
Is it possible this is not a device bug but rather an OS quirk? If you are in an app using audio and press the volume buttons they control the volume for that app type. If you press the volume keys while nothing is running it adjusts the ring volume (at least it seems to on my oneplus one). Now for the real quirk, the buttons still adjust the volume while the phone is asleep. To test this turn the volume all the way down, press the power button to put it to sleep then press the volume up ten times followed by the power button. You will see the on-screen volume level and it will be up. If it is not on-screen press the volume button one more time to bring it up and see if the volume was adjusted while the phone was asleep. So it may be the volume is being turned down by the buttons while in your pocket.
@captaincook
Well if it's an obvious major issue like wifi doesn't work, or camera or calling it's probably device specific.
If it's a general question like how do I do this or that, or if after an OTA a feature is missing (regression) then it's more device agnostic hence better asked in support.
I know it can be confusing but support was crowded with device specific questions making it harder to find answers.
Now you can search the dedicated subforum and learn about what is not working yet and witness progress.
While you can ask for help about how to do something with UT ; how to sync my files with Nextcloud...
I hope it helps.
