@hlbkv gnome software can handle debs and flatpaks (and on Ubuntu also snaps I think). The app itself is a deb, so it is not surprising that it can be installed. The apps that end up being able to be installed with it are probably also debs.

Just an update, I gave up on trying the KDEConnect workaround. I did some deep investigation on resolving the issue within Waydroid itself, and documented my progress. It's definitely a feature-request in Waydroid. https://github.com/waydroid/waydroid/issues/211 I haven't done any more work on it for a while, since my last post on github. There are a few libs being used in Waydroid, which I linked to, which have sparse documentation. I don't have deep enough knowledge of these languages and platforms to be able to fix this easily - not to mention android's workflow for builds. Wasn't able to do a build of LineageOS on my PC; some incompatibility with package versions. It'd be nice to resolve this for everybody who uses Waydroid, but IRL is taking priority for now.

@trwidick you're unclear. Any alarm i select plays the selected, but any alarm i set that fire, plays the default sound anyway, so, does the alarm you set, fire with the selected sound?

@marc123454321 Hey just for information. I got same slow browsing behavior with Nautilus in libertine. I can access the server in normal speed with my ubuntu laptop via scp or with windows via samba so I dont know how to fix that. Maybe some day I do not need to access via cli ;-). Marc

@purplevvay I think this is normal behavior. There is only one volume setting, not different ones for the various output. You can fill in a feature request, but I don't know how difficult it might be to implement such feature.

final status: Today I have flashed the device with the last available android image for the nexus 5. I followed the description on https://developers.google.com/android/images#hammerhead. After that I repeated the ut-nstallation with the UBports installer. The phone seems to work and the screen issue is fixed.

@keneda Multiple responses (in no particular order): Change bank; Change phone; Hope the new anbox (will be useful for the COVID app in France...) will work on one of your current phones. maybe another answer to your problem.. This reflects the current climate for french where we are/will be ..... everywhere (replace the dots with your favorite word), if you guess (a clue, I DON'T SPEAK of UT..)

@arwhet I basically use my OPO for everything except video calling (one day, one day.) I really need to get the keyboard and wireless adapter going, but I use it for my calls, my files (I keep a mega account with a webapp), play the old Sega games on it (27MB for a run and jump game vs 240KB? I'm all about the space). It also does work tracking and takes my notes. Also, it's my phone. Basically I am always on it.

@domubpkm I tried the same - a webapp from the mail provider - but that wasn't convenient at all. No more than an emergency solution for me. Dekko might be in beta for a long time, but for me it's more than okay. A few things are not working, but I never intended to do all my mailing via phone. So I'm fine with it.

@messayisto I'm not an Axolotl developer, but I do believe the answer is yes. The developers are working hard to overcome the latest changes in Signal, and it's not an easy task, but the goal is a fully functional version of Axolotl to be made available through the Open Store.

@dobey @AppLee I figured. Unfortunately as a person who loves my Bacon as a daily driver it's my biggest obstacle to full convergence (as ridiculous as it sounds, the only reason I'm even using my desktop computer now ia (a) a lack of the peripherals for this device-- which I'm changing God willing this week and (b) video calling (sone people just prefer it despite my best efforts to get them to just call me on the phone.) It's a minor hassle, but between that and getting VoLTE, I'll take seeing VoLTE as priority. Oh well. :beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes:

@AppLee Unfortunately I am nothing but a somewhat experienced user of ubutouch only... a noob in programming... I thought to something like the RNDIS interface in ADB setup, but for GPS. Transmitting my phone's GPS stream to my laptop, which doesn't have a GPS receiver. I would enjoy very much having a bash script to run my Linux-Navit installation on laptop by means of my phone's GPS...
