Volla Phone 22 has dual boot now again. I have the Android version and it comes with Volla OS. Volla OS is based on AOSP with some components from Lineage OS and specific components from Volla. I have Ubuntu Touch installed on the external MicroSD card as dual boot. UT runs quite fast from my SD card, I can use it as my daily driver. In some cases I boot Android, but most of the time I use UT. It is much faster than my Pinephone with mobian.

Sorry, but this is not a general Waydroid forum, it's just one for Waydroid on Ubuntu Touch. We do not support Waydroid on Fedora.

Hosed pendrive recovered, many thanks to PartedMagic. Then struggled to get YUMI Multiboot to install distros. Oh, yeah Windows 11, thanks for your "Folder Protection". Whitelisted YUMI, Ubuntu versions on pendrive, successful Ubuntu 23.10 install on ancient celeron machine, all data recovered, back up and running....:beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes:

@waydroidfan456 Yes, so you are on the Ubuntu Touch forum, we regularly get questions with respect to running Waydroid on Ubuntu Touch. Not sure how many people are around that run Waydroid on their Desktop too, which is what you seem to be doing. If you don't mind, I will amend the title of this thread to better reflect your issue. I will also move the post to off-topic. Maybe it will catch someone's eye there. But you might want to consider asking in a more general Waydroid forum. Concerning your issue, it seems Waydroid does not come pre-rooted.

@kugiigi closed source apps are currently allowed in the Open Store, as long as they are confined. Of course it is now evident that apps accessing the network should be under more scrutiny. Too bad that is most apps nowadays.

@Vulpex Look at it this way, if you are wary of adverse effects of 5G, even without it being in use, then you should be suspicious of any 5G capable device, irrespective if the OS you are running on it is capable of leveraging the technology.

@Crat0s Hello and welcome! This is an English-spoken forum, so here is a translation of your message: Hi, I don't know if this is the place to post this. When I saw the work you were doing I was reminded of a device that I regretfully had to stop using because the company discontinued it and it became obsolete. Nothing can be done about it. I am talking about the Acer iconia A500. I don't know where I can make requests for this device. I hope someone can answer me. Thank you very much. You cannot make requests for devices. The truth is that every device needs its own port, and it's not a fast or easy job. Also it's impossible to create a port if you do not have the device. That means that someone, who has the device in hands, would need to do weeks of work to create this port. That is a lot to ask and there probably simply is no volunteer available for it. Also, let's be realistic. This is a tablet from 2011 with 1 GB of RAM. It would never be a great tablet for UT. And because it's so old and hard to find, all that work would be a waste of a volunteer's time. I'm sorry but your tablet shares the fate of many, many obsolete Android tablets: it has no future with Ubuntu Touch. I will now move the topic to the Off Topic category.

@rajuindia said in Is it possible to install onetouch in Mi max 2 cell phone: Is it possible to install Mi max 2 with ubuntu onetouch os. I'm not seeing it on the device page, so it looks like the answer is no. Please communicate to me rajuindia@hotmail.com. Sorry, we are not your personal helpdesk. Questions asked on the forum will be answered on the forum. I will now move your topic out of the irrelevant Focal Fossa category.

@sven said in Selling unused UT phone: The hardware specs seem to be unchanged. Only more ram and the camera changed to 64 Mpx on SE. On Pro non SE, I don't know I never saw it on french site (only GS5 and GS5 Lite, and now Lite is gone and Pro SE is here). BTW I bought 3 GS5 Lite for my family (running android, updated to 13 recently) and those are very good devices for that price range, given the bonus fact it is manufactured in Germany.

@jb-gbaeza We don't do politics at all. Just a very good OS Ubuntu Touch for mobile devices. The best way to spread the word is start with yourself. No one can do that better than an enthusiastic user.

@jb-gbaeza Before buying the cell phone, check the devices IMEI online (for free) to see if it has been blacklisted, which means the device is stolen, been lost or been involved in other criminal activity. The IMEI can be found on devices System settings, on the SIM Card tray sometimes (usually require a magnifying glass) or on a label on the back. If your device is stolen from you, simply having a pin lock/passcode is good enough to stop the casual thief accessing your data, but if running a custom ROM or UT and the bootloader is unlocked (a requirement to install UT) the device can be reset and used again, unless you report it stolen and get the IMEI blacklisted.
