I also have an x23 and ran into all that. I worked the issue to a halium mismatch. The Waydroid Helper app uses v13 and the base install covers up to v11 and guess where our phone sits. Its v12. So eventually I'll dive into it and probably just end up building an x23 specific version which I'll drop in here and on GitHub. I have no clue when I'll get to it though, I have like 5 other major projects from custom kernels, a few apps, a homelab server to finish, and getting my volla to run android apps. But don't worry some of us are hammering this issue out.

My feeling, maybe I'm wrong is that some UT users wonder what are the models of smartphones, with which version of halium, are of the future and will support both Noble and Volte, including for the Volla. ... And if they will have to buy again a new smartphone. I only understood that the Fairphone 5 is a safe bet: is it well with Halium 13 when sold now with Android 14? Is there an official post (or will have ?), full procedure, to flash Noble on Fairphone 5, when we are or not on halium 13 ? Is it possible or sure that Fairphone 5 will be sold with UT (Noble) ? Can you clarify the supporting models (which will quickly support) Noble and Volte with the corresponding halium, including for the Volla? Thank you and good luck for the mass of work that all the developers make for the transition to noble and the volte support.

Yeah, that seems to be a known issue with some system messages not being fully localized, even when the main language is changed. It looks like that “No text message sent today” line might be hardcoded in English or just missing translations in certain languages.

Old post, I know, but if @thedeafenguy or anybody else has bought from that seller, a report might be useful to many of us outside the EU. I've come across that seller before and wondered.

To be fair, this is a very valid use case. I've wanted this right from the start since if you use external keyboard and mouse, you won't need the virtual one so the screen will be useless. In Samsung DeX, you can do this although I noticed that some apps wakes it up when doing certain things. In any case, there's no way to do this right now. It might need changes to the lower level components such as Mir. Also note that unlike Samsung DeX, UT is using the same UI or DE when connected to an external display so anything you do on the device would affect both displays.

@kuuga What OS are you using for your host PC in the installation? If ADB cannot see the device, especially when the phone is in "fastboot" mode, with a windows host, this is probably because of missing google android drivers. On a Linux host, the command line tools from google should just work as-is after extraction. (In my bumbling around I used both.) Windows google-android driver: https://developer.android.com/studio/run/win-usb This guide below was extremely helpful for me, specifically the sections "Prerequisites" and "Unlocking Bootloader" since google's developer pages have so many dead 404 links.
