Replying to this because here we are a year later and I had the exact same thing happen to me. I had ordred a second X23 to mess around with and ordered it with Volla OS but it came with UT and am having the same errors as you. Two questions: What is "sideloading" ? Is it a different way of saying dual booting ? Any chance I can get those zip files off you in some way or form ?

I have the same problem in my Volla X running 20.04 ota-9 In the last waydroid update, the login screen where you enter the pin changed. The problem is that it doesn't let you pass that screen even if it's the correct pin. Waydroid stays on the login screen again and again. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

I have a similar problem with my Volla Quintus, see : https://forums.ubports.com/topic/11263/frame-rate-and-slow-animations-movies . I am already in contact with Volla about this. But because "laggyness" or "low framerate" is quite subjective (not easy to measure in technical terms), except you can record the screen in high framerate and without aliasing, it is not easy to talk about and to discuss this problem.

Hi @darshpreets I cannot be sure about your specific device. But phones are usually only able to be either an access point or a client, but rarely both. As for Ubuntu Touch being able to handle this case on such compatible hardware, I'm not sure. That would be something to test.

@Kutzi its nothing to worry about, if not all mounts work in recovery, but the relevant (userdata) should be mounted still. Now just have a look at /data/backups ls -la /data/backups

@BarrickBeau I do not know much about Libertine, but libqt5gui5t64 is mentioned in a recent merge request, so this will maybe be fixed with: https://gitlab.com/ubports/development/core/libertine/-/merge_requests/147 So as an end user, you will probably have to wait for the next system update.

Wifi works fine on my Fairphone 5 with 24.04 (r542). USB tethering works as well.

@messayisto, it worked on my dekko 2 before, but I am on Dekko2 0.5 an it starts crashing dekko2 when opening an E-Mail from to E-Mail list e.g. of the inbox on my volla 22.

@March This phone is still running Xenial. It looks like you won't be able to have a pleasant UT experience with it. Your best bet is to go for a smartphone that is more up to date https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/
