You can't install a phone that hasn't been ported. Porting means creating the unique installation files that a specific device needs. The Pixel 4a has not been ported, so there is nothing you can install, as far as Ubuntu Touch goes. If you might be interested in porting it, please see https://docs.ubports.com/en/latest/porting

Ah- and Sidenote on "bricking"/restoring device: Lenovo offers an good "Software fix" software on their webiste that can restore your Lenovo device. You can install that, connect the tab via USB, give it the serial of your device, and it downloads the latest firmware and resets everything..the only thing tricky- as usual- I believe you might need fastboot mode at some point- which is POWER + VOLUME DOWN buttons at the same (USB disconnected) and then the lenovo enters fastboot mode and is ready a) to get out of this endless loops and b) receive the firmware. For me, it restored Android 11, the right one for UBports.

@lsitongia any carrier's SIM logged into an android phone with a google account. All RCS goes through Google's servers, and RCS is opt out, not opt in. Go into your google account settings, search for RCS. Turn it off for that device. If you never used that device with a google account, then you're good. So, yes, you can put that SIM in another android phone to turn off RCS. But, you need to be sure what google account you used that SIM with.

Hi, I have a slightly different problem. Oneplus Nord N100 (UT 24.04-1.2 stable) with Nissan hands-free kit <MyCar>. Pairing works without any errors, but the screen shows that no network is available. Very, very unlikely and there is a risk you'll brick it. Phones and tablets differ a lot more than PCs do. Each device needs its own installation file and if there isn't one, it's generally not a good idea to flash one that is meant for a different device.

@LobsterDarts Yeah, I have bricked two TB-X606's trying to downgrade (both have working, but broken screens, so no loss). Have recovered one, but I wouldn't advise this port as it is too easy to brick the device.... If you want a good UT experience with a tablet that is not expensive get a TB-X306F or TB-X306X and get the 4Gb/64Gb version. There are issues, but that is like all the UT devices, they have their quirks!
