Hello all. Two problems, that may be related At setup time you are asked to "personalize your device" which at least for me implies that you set the host name. However it sets the name that is shown on the login screen. This, again at least for me implies the users name was changed in this process. However again, this is not true. In fact, the only result of "personalize your device" seems to be setting the name displayed next to the password field on login screen. Every other place where the users name is needed seems to referr to user "phablet". On my ubuntu desktop, I am used to see my avatar picture on the login sreen. The avatar can be set by adding a picture to /home/<user>/.face This is managed by /var/lib/AccountsService/users/ A similar structure is available on UT. However setting /home/phablet/.face has no effect, regardless whether "personalize your device" is set to "phablet" or anything else. What is going on here? Why does ubports not referr to well known structures for such basic things like host name, user name, interface configuration?

Hello, To everyone who has worked on developing UT, thank you. Here is my opinion on the new version “for the way I use a mobile phone”: A lot of great work has gone into making the system both functional and attractive. UT remains an easy-to-use and aesthetically refined system, which is a real asset! Of course, that's not all, because the technologies introduced over the last two years will be greatly appreciated by users depending on the phone they use. However, I regret that some features have not been resolved on my OP 5T, which I mention in the OP section. There is a small bug that may be common to other phone brands listed in “devices”; it concerns the remaining charge time shown on the screen, which unfortunately works in reverse, because when the phone is charged, it indicates that there are still several hours left before it is fully charged... I hope this will be resolved as soon as possible. Best regards.

@bunt7 I see they have a desktop app that seems more or less responsive, maybe it could be possible to run it directly in Ubuntu Touch with Xmir. That's a shame they don't have a snap you could install it directly and try it. Upcoming Mir2.0 with wayland should also improve the feasibility of using desktop apps, in Ubuntu Touch.

On the Xiaomi 6, the ofono-binder-Plugin software package must be in a lower version (1.1.15). The latest version will cause the ofono process to crash。 The specific reason for the crash of the ofono process has not been found yet

@lduboeuf Thanks, will give it a try. Hope it works on the host machine as well rather than needing a connected device because I am using it as a desktop. I read the documentation, it seems it's meant to be used for building packages for Lomiri, not working on Lomiri itself?

@Alain Oh wait, so you haven't unlocked the bootloader yet earlier? I assume only the toggle in Android?

@miguelpam06 said in Request to make this operating system available for Vivo device: Hello, I would like to support for a Vivo y39, what do I need to do? I've translated your message, because this is an English-spoken forum. Here is the porting documentation: https://docs.ubports.com/en/latest/porting/ This will explain what needs to be done.
