Yes but Waydroid leaks all the available information as if you were running android.
If privacy is the main goal of using Ubuntu Touch, waydroid should be used carefully.
Of course it won't sniff around to find your juicy pictures, but still your location and usage of the android apps will leak.
Just like Meta cannot read your WhatsApp messages, but they're happy with "only" the metadata associated with such usage...
