@thatoo I think a syncronization app (like this one on android) is needed in UT in order to communicate with an AsteroidOS. so probably the problem is not only that they don't have software for ubuntu touch but that we don't have software for them

@mawil1013 I use a Nexus5 everyday and that works very well on all fronts for me (battery life is a little lacking) but libertine containers do not work on it. Hence my answer above. UBports Ubuntu Touch is still under development and we are waiting for OTA 4 ( 16.04) which will be here shortly. This will give us a more stable platform and iron out some of the existing bugs. There will also be more devices in the future. The Libram colaberation is on the way and I think the OnePlusThree is coming too. Also please remember all work here is done by volenters and it all takes time. So if you don't have a phone yet you are probably best with the newer models on the list and then upgrading to OTA 4 (16.04) which should be a few weeks away.

@flohack said in Ubuntu Touch Audiocast - 027 - "CHIEF EXTRA OFFICER": This is a community project, not a company, please keep this in mind. This is fair to say, and I appreciate the clarifications that you have made. Expectations may need adjusting. After all, we have to struggle with regular human things as well. I, however, don't think that a community project is lesser in comparison to a company in any way; it's just different. And if we can harness that difference effectively, then the results will also be effective. @joe said in Ubuntu Touch Audiocast - 027 - "CHIEF EXTRA OFFICER": This is the kind of visual "Reality" that I, personally, would like to see in an online tool. Does anyone know how that might be achieved? This is what I'm working on today This is what I've completed today This tasks depends on [usernames]'s other task Here is what I failed today, and what I learned In terms of this ^ , I would like to know if such a tool exists for my own work and those working with me. In the case of community projects and UBports, I think it would be valuable as a way to flag things for help rather than for pressuring people to work. Maybe it could be more "relaxed" and used when action happens rather than when it doesn't: I'm interested in working on this ________ . Feel free to talk to me if you are too. --> Here's the chat room. This item needs love ____________. I got this working today__________. Feel free to review it. / Doesn't need work right now. But, having a big "wall" /kanban of things that people can post and do/discuss would be a nice big overview CEO thing. Then people can break into teams as be as serious or relaxed as they want. Could the "unconference" model work for this? (e.g. http://www.communityleadershipsummit.com/) Could we design an Un-Company in addition to the Community?

Hi Ubports A-Team, would it be possible to have a snap installer also for 32 bit architecture? Many of us have still this "old" machines. Xenial will be supported for 32 bit as we know until 2021. Thanks for feedback. @milkor73

@markalexa If I have it right the original Canonical Ubuntu Touch was based on 15.04. Which was the starting point for everything. As that came to an end and UBports came into existence it became apparent that 15.04 was to old, updates would end, security was becoming outdated. Thats why the move to 16.04 was required. When that is completed UBports Ubuntu Touch will have a secure long term base to move forward on and regular OTA's, and other updates will follow. 16.04 is apparently a very different beast to 15.04 (I'm no developer so can't speak personally ) which is why things are taking time to make sure all is OK before release.

@unisuperbox using PERT is okay for me too, use the tool you're more comfortably with. About the conclusion, I agree with what you say basically. In my opinion the majority of users want to know at least the goals for the current year and where they can follow the progress. A minority of them are also interested in who is doing what. That information is available already but users want to get the full picture at a glance, not spending time digging Github repos and the like

That is a given, for those in the know. But I thought it should be mentioned, since the OP mentions Firefox v60 in the post's title.

This sounds like the same setup WhatsApp has in place. Therr is a web version, butnyou need to scan a qr code with the (Android or iOS) appeared on your device to log in. That would mean you'd need to have the WeChat appeared installed in a compatible device to bring able to work with the web version.
