@bearbobs sorry for the late reply its been busy with work...did you have to host the emulationstation?....because not sure how to host from within a clickable.....Iv seen the project before but have not really done anything with it....if it runs totally client side its do able....but if it needs hosting I don't think it can be done....the nes I'm working on is a heavily modded JavaScript emulator runs totally client side i added touch support fixed up the audio and added a lot of mapper support.....one big issue is the webview out of the box is....well lacking...if you load mario you will see black squares around the clouds and other sprites...not the emulator but the webview....

It's a shame that UBports installer doesn't work with Android flashed devices. Had to flash old UT with Flash tool before UB installer worked with my M10.

I have solved the issue. The fail was a media scanner corrupted database located in: /home/username/.cache/mediascanner-2.0/mediastore.db Once removed the file and rebooted the phone, new database was created succesfully. I left this topic because may be useful to other users with the same problem. Thanks to all the developers for keeping this project alive

@arexler22 Firstly please double check developer mode is on if not put it on and try again.( very bottom of About section). You can manually put the device into fastboot by restarting it holding the power button and volume down buttons at the same time(fastboot appears in small text bottom left of screen). You could also try the Magic Device Tool (dev version) if it still supports ubports. This worked for me when putting ubports on my mx4 a few weeks ago. If not it may still be able to unlock your bootloader (OEM unlock). Also have a look at the last two posts by Marathon2422 under the thread Install UBports in an Aquarius 10 etc in the support section. That script might help but change the word frieze to arale and devel to stable. You will also need to install ADB and fastboot on your PC / laptop first. There are plenty of instructions out there. Search this forum or the net. When thats done run sudo bootloader OEM unlock and carry on from there. Sorry if this is very confusing but you will get there in the end.

Hi, I also used he FP2 and the camera button does nothing currently. I see that there is a proposed enhancement here: https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues/33 I like the idea to have this button configurable. But it seems to not be a priority, and I agree with that, I would prefer to have first the camera flash working (see https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues/448).

@lakota Without unlocked bootloader I would not be able to do anything. That was the second thing I done after changing the ID from Chinese to GLobal. Anyway, now I managed to increase the cache size, so I might give a try to install 16.04 again.

I have tried some files in UTmedia player with some success for ones which don't play in the standard UT video player. Still investigating - I may be some time...

@dtarrant Just let me know, I am still working on a script that could come in handy for me if I ever need to batch convert several files after figuring out why I can't play my mkv files in UT video player.

@guru Yes, I agree you did. I guess my problem is that I find it hard to understand why the forum compose facility would not support a paste function. Maybe there's a good reason that I'm missing. Anyway, many thanks for your suggestion.

Thanks guys for trying to help but I think I'm simply to much of a numb to do manual settings... I don't understand any of this. I'll keep my VPN on other devices.

@vossi It's very simple to make a search in Github, click on open issues and input battery FP2, https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues?utf8=✓&q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+battery+FP2, and get those results.

@beegee No problem, glad that it worked for you also in the end. By the way ubports community recently uploaded video on its official youtube channel where can be seen how it is supposed to be done: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuLFTGkuD68
