@hlbkv gnome software can handle debs and flatpaks (and on Ubuntu also snaps I think). The app itself is a deb, so it is not surprising that it can be installed. The apps that end up being able to be installed with it are probably also debs.

I also have an x23 and ran into all that. I worked the issue to a halium mismatch. The Waydroid Helper app uses v13 and the base install covers up to v11 and guess where our phone sits. Its v12. So eventually I'll dive into it and probably just end up building an x23 specific version which I'll drop in here and on GitHub. I have no clue when I'll get to it though, I have like 5 other major projects from custom kernels, a few apps, a homelab server to finish, and getting my volla to run android apps. But don't worry some of us are hammering this issue out.

@joebeach you can, if you install an ssh server on your desktop and open the firewall. Then, in the mdt menu you can change the backup mode. I even dont bother with my PC but instead back up to my cloud server BR

@uzanto said in Playing a live stream mmsh://media.enet.cu/radioreloj: I test it and you are able to play that installing mpv from terminal emulator I use it to play youtube audio with mps-youtube. What do you mean exactly with 'installing mpv from ...'? Have you set your device writeable?

@UKPhil Thanks for your answer. As i said, on dev mode, now we are in 51, i don't have the double boot. But it was a strange bug in rc because sometimes i had double boot, sometime simple boot !! I'm no sure of the raison but since i manage to fully desinstall (i was in dev 50) indicator torch that don't work on bq 4.5, everything seems ok. But i stay in dev.. and wait the last stable ota. I don't have long time boot on my m10, i am on RC.

Thank you! I googled the dial string for my provider www.Fonic.de (which is a O2 company here in Germany) and one has to dial (put a * symbol for any word 'star'): star star 61 star 333 star star nn# (with possible value for nn: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30). And it worked, 15 was the default.

@Flohack If you don't know there is not much chance of me knowing I knew my way around programing (machine code) the old Sinclair ZX81 but other than maintaining a basic website or two over the years and keeping our linux computers at home updated and working I've let that side of my knowledge get very rusty in the intervening 35+ years. I really appreciate the effort you folks are putting into maintaining and developing this OS. I use my phone daily and hope, when it finally gets too old, that there will be a good open source OS to run on my next one. Preferably UBPorts.

@vadrian89 It has to do with a couple of things as far as I know. The size and colour of the circle has to do with the amount and also time it happened. Last month is calculated as well.

After several unsuccessful tries I have installed TWRP. Wiped the device. Then installed "recovery-turbo" again. At the end I have installed RC channel with this command: $ sudo ubuntu-device-flash --server=http://system-image.ubports.com touch --device=turbo --channel=15.04/rc 2017/12/07 13:35:44 Device is |turbo| 2017/12/07 13:35:44 Flashing version 12 from 15.04/rc channel and server http://system-image.ubports.com to device turbo 2017/12/07 13:35:45 Start pushing /home/andrzej/.cache/ubuntuimages/gpg/image-signing.tar.xz to device 2017/12/07 13:35:47 Start pushing /home/andrzej/.cache/ubuntuimages/pool/device-60f53a5768e9340729d3a5ef9263bd3a9726792e7d0dbf830e5b124938dd419a.tar.xz to device 2017/12/07 13:35:47 Start pushing /home/andrzej/.cache/ubuntuimages/pool/keyring-4c4e7ef380ebcfa2c31084efa199138e93bfed8fc58aa3eb06bdf75a78af9b57.tar.xz to device 2017/12/07 13:35:47 Start pushing /home/andrzej/.cache/ubuntuimages/ubports-touch/15.04/rc/turbo/version-12.tar.xz to device 2017/12/07 13:35:47 Start pushing /home/andrzej/.cache/ubuntuimages/gpg/image-master.tar.xz to device 2017/12/07 13:35:47 Start pushing /home/andrzej/.cache/ubuntuimages/pool/ubports-ab3bba2c6973569f7df80a7d9fe67bccbeec8edc58cf34e8c4a04f27293837b4.tar.xz to device 2017/12/07 13:35:48 Done pushing /home/andrzej/.cache/ubuntuimages/gpg/image-signing.tar.xz to device 2017/12/07 13:35:48 Done pushing /home/andrzej/.cache/ubuntuimages/pool/keyring-4c4e7ef380ebcfa2c31084efa199138e93bfed8fc58aa3eb06bdf75a78af9b57.tar.xz to device 2017/12/07 13:35:48 Done pushing /home/andrzej/.cache/ubuntuimages/ubports-touch/15.04/rc/turbo/version-12.tar.xz to device 2017/12/07 13:35:48 Done pushing /home/andrzej/.cache/ubuntuimages/gpg/image-master.tar.xz to device 2017/12/07 13:36:10 Done pushing /home/andrzej/.cache/ubuntuimages/pool/device-60f53a5768e9340729d3a5ef9263bd3a9726792e7d0dbf830e5b124938dd419a.tar.xz to device 2017/12/07 13:36:45 Done pushing /home/andrzej/.cache/ubuntuimages/pool/ubports-ab3bba2c6973569f7df80a7d9fe67bccbeec8edc58cf34e8c4a04f27293837b4.tar.xz to device 2017/12/07 13:36:45 Created ubuntu_command: /home/andrzej/.cache/ubuntuimages/ubuntu_commands881164790 2017/12/07 13:36:46 Rebooting into recovery to flash I have read on another topic that I should not use "" --bootstrap " option. @viper do you mean that you are trying to use the screencast option of magic-device-tool? I have not used it myself but it looks like you need to have set up a public key for ssh for it to work. Here's the explanation of how it works from Github "This tool will start ssh on your connected Ubuntu Touch device, forward a local port to the device, copy your ssh id down to the device (so you can log in without a password), and then ssh into the device through the locally forwarded port. This results in a very nice shell, which for example can display the output of 'top' at the correct terminal size, rather than being stuck at 80x25 like 'adb shell' Like ssh-copy-id, this script will push down the newest ssh key it can find in ~/.ssh/*.pub, so if you find the wrong key being pushed down, simply use 'touch' to make your desired key the newest one, and then this script will find it. The '--copy' option will make it copy your .bashrc down to the device, giving you the benefit of preserving your $PS1 (prompt) and any aliases and functions you may have defined on your host system. " Here's some documentation on setting up SSH/OpenSSH/Keys from Ubuntu. I hope that this helps.
