@hlbkv gnome software can handle debs and flatpaks (and on Ubuntu also snaps I think). The app itself is a deb, so it is not surprising that it can be installed. The apps that end up being able to be installed with it are probably also debs.

Just an update, I gave up on trying the KDEConnect workaround. I did some deep investigation on resolving the issue within Waydroid itself, and documented my progress. It's definitely a feature-request in Waydroid. https://github.com/waydroid/waydroid/issues/211 I haven't done any more work on it for a while, since my last post on github. There are a few libs being used in Waydroid, which I linked to, which have sparse documentation. I don't have deep enough knowledge of these languages and platforms to be able to fix this easily - not to mention android's workflow for builds. Wasn't able to do a build of LineageOS on my PC; some incompatibility with package versions. It'd be nice to resolve this for everybody who uses Waydroid, but IRL is taking priority for now.

@mawil1013 hi, I've never heard anyone with that kind of battery issue. Can you try to leave the phone until its battery is "empty" and then, with the phone turned off, do a full charge? Maybe that will re-calibrate the battery.

@mawil1013 Dekko 2 from the openstore works well with gmail. Just make sure you go to your Google account security settings and allow insecure apps.

Quick update and resolution! The new slimport cable came yesterday, and all trace of errors regarding a connection to my monitors is gone! I'm typing this post up now on a converged Nexus 5 with a wireless keyboard and mouse. Great stuff! Don't use crappy knockoff cables for video out!

Did anybody manage to make any progress on this issue? I also have no hotspot option in system settings on my Nexus 4, now running 16.04 OTA-5. No amount of toggling the flight mode switch makes any difference.

@ksalver said in Old browser and all history, bookmarks and opened pages: the last opened tab (maybe a unwanted link) cannot be closed via "unwanted tab X" . i always must select another tab to close this. I have noticed this as there is no "X" to click. I too have to select another tab, open it up, then go into the all tabs again and close the one I was previously looking at, which now has an "X" on it. I think this has been raised, but if not are you going to log it in GitLab?

Ha, I had the opposite last night. I was running a (music streaming) web app, closed the tab--and the web app kept running, now with no way to stop the music. Had to close the browser app and restart.

@dobey FritzBox! has this feature as a part of the system. This is one of the features, that make the FritzBox popular. [image: 1539563981633-bildschirmfoto-vom-2018-10-15-02-32-06-resized.jpg]

Ok, I got impatient and dug through the UT Tweak tool. Here's a workaround if you're comfortable in a terminal (or, in my case, adb shell): gsettings get com.canonical.qtmir lifecycle-exempt-appids For me, this had a value: ['com.ubuntu.music', 'com.ubuntu.terminal'] Then I updated this value: gsettings set com.canonical.qtmir lifecycle-exempt-appids "['com.ubuntu.music', 'com.ubuntu.terminal', 'morph-browser']" Voila! My browser is happily running in the background.

@advocatux ok. Thanks. So, I'm not alone. I have forgotten to say that the page is normally displayed with oxide browser on 15.04. I don't know if it's a (referenced) morph browser bug.

@nerd7473 you need to do what @Ellypsis said (https://forums.ubports.com/post/12153). The music app is a deb package, not a click package, and it's included in the UT image, that's why is not available in the OpenStore. You need to remove that aforementioned symlink (or reinstall UT without the wipe option).
