@Alain This featute isn't in UT/Lomiri yet. Simplest way is to make something like a home screen app and there are some that exists already like Launcher Modular. Not sure they have app groups though. You can contribute to them if you don't want to make your own. However, they obviously act like a normal app. Best you can do is pin it to the Launcher for easy access. Or you can contribute to Lomiri and implement it in the App drawer which definitely needs some love There's even a bounty for it so there's money to get

Hi Zaito, so sorry for delay, I have only just logged on in ages. I tested it on GS5 only - installed UT 24.04 because it was the only way to make phonecalls when 3g packed up. Nothing I did enabled Waydroid to persist. Meaning that if waydroid was closed for any reason, you couldn't reboot it without a completely fresh installation. This rectified in June with a new UT update. Everything works well in both UT and Waydroid with one exception; there is no clipboard on waydroid. Which means you cannot copy or paste anything in any circumstances. If I need waydroid copy facilities I have to use another phone running UT20.04. Hope all is well.

OK, might have fixed it, I'm not certain what I did though. I tried vol up + vol down + power and I got it to boot.

@circ @domubpkm Hey so I'm having the same error code with my Ubuntu Phone VPN connexion. I changed username and password to avoid non alphanumeric characters. Do the name and location of .ctr and .key files have any sort of importance? ca.crt has the form: -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE----- ... ... -----END CERTIFICATE----- and ta.key has the form -----BEGIN OpenVPN Static key V1----- ... ... -----END OpenVPN Static key V1----- Both are extracted from the xxx.protonvpn.com.udp.ovpn file downloaded on my protonVPN account. Could the gateway port number be an issue? Do you have any idea why it still doesn't work? Thanks a lot for any kind of help or suggestion! Edit1: Note that the password is always missing when I open the VPN editor app, but that could also just be some kind of security. Is that the expected behavior?

uApp Explorer was down with an error and I brought it back up again. But it should probably be shutdown and direct everyone to either the OpenStore for click apps or the Snap store for snaps as it is a bit redundant now. To clear up some confusion, uApp Explorer doesn't host any of the clicks/snaps it provides. It showed apps from the Canonical app store back in the day (which is why you can find older apps that doen't exist on the OpenStore), the snap store, and eventually the OpenStore. I also want to note that while I'm now the main developer for the OpenStore it was all started by Michael Zanetti before UBports took over the development of Ubuntu Touch (so a huge thanks to him for getting it started!).

@Tartaros said in bq Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu Edition wants to be OEM unlocked during installation: @Lakotaubp I expect I need to switch the device to fastboot mode prior to performing the OEM unlock? I will try it tomorrow. In theory yes, snaps can be run with Manjaro, but the snap support is still experimental and I do not want a snap error to make my phone a pricy paperweight. You can try the appimage it works well. I just tried today the snap installer since the aur package was giving me the same error as yours and it worked flawlessly.

@chdslv said in How to do autoremove and clean?: How does the system gets cleaned after app upgrades? Is that done automatically? Yes. Click packages do not have dependencies. When one is removed, it is no longer on the system, and there are no other packages to be removed as a result. Only thing that remains is user data and config, so you can still access it, or in case you install the app again in future.

Does this also apply to RNDIS? I assume yes since hotspot and RNDIS share the same IP range at the moment.

Can you put an earlier Ubuntu on a thumb drive and use that is to install, instead of messing your main os about.

@joolz system-connections should be readonly, and can be overwritten on any update, I think that must reside in a different place

To add, I tried to install the stock image from Android -- specifically 6.0.1 (M4B30Z, Dec 2016), found here, which gave some errors and failed to fully install (though it did change the look of the bootloader.) I still was stuck with the UBports Recovery program. So, I looked around and found the TWRP recovery program for hammerhead (Nexus 5 codename) and successfully installed that. I used it to wipe and format the drive, since all my previous attempts at installations (of either Ubuntu Touch or Android or LineageOS) failed. Then, I tried once again to install LineageOS, by transferring the file to the phone (see code below) and then using TWRP to install it. This worked. mark@debian:~/Downloads/Nexus5/LineageOS$ adb push lineage-14.1-20190301-UNOFFICIAL-hammerhead.zip /sdcard/. lineage-14.1-20190301-UNOFFICIAL-hamme... 4.4 MB/s (329881284 bytes in 71.197s) I must say that the UBports recovery program needs improvement. It's far inferior to the TWRP recovery program. Anyway, my issue is solved. I can now reinstall Ubuntu Touch. [edit] I did reinstall it. So, I'm good to go.

@Flohack Thanks, I knew about zoom not working since it's mentioned somewhere on the UBports website, but I wasn't aware of the flash issue.
