    The issue was me not having a screen lock passcode defined. Not sure if this is the best way to approach this, a settings page for editing user information (including name and root password) would be useful, that one could then opt out for the screenlock.

    @R66F root, you'd probably need to use a custom waydroid gsi with SU binaries. from there just install one of the many root modules/frameworks that let you spoof app id's

    I think you should install the operating system again, with the Ut installer you can do it. download the installer to your computer, install it . Save all the data you have on the phone before installation, greetings...

    @MarkG_108 Yes indeed I didn't look at UT Media's code before. I guess you can make a QML container for UT Media's code, or maybe there is something in JS, but I don't know much about it. QML and C++ I can do, web technologies is like ancient greek for me ^^ It's a question for the UBPorts app development group : https://t.me/UbuntuAppDevEN

    @DimoAlex If you want the latest versions of system components, then switch to the devel channel, which gets built daily. As Ingo stated, apt is not a supported method of upgrading the system or installing apps. UT is a phone OS, and not a traditional PC Linux distribution, so it is designed more around the hardware and security requirements of mobile devices.

    @mooncosmique Yes your device is Mako and yes that part of the website is still not working correctly. As a work round on the device name thing, start the installer if it does not detect automatically choose it manually and the device and codename will be shown before you start the install.

    I presume this is inside libertine, as apt is not supported in the host system. No, it's only a warning, so not a real issue.

    Just Try to Install without Wipe, without Partitioning bootstrap and without system partition, when you have razor-lmy48m already running on the Tablet. If you have installed lineage os or latest versions of Android which have changed partitions, it wont work.

    No sorry, the problem is not fixed. I dont have this model thats affected, and no other dev was able to get one. So the only way to fix it is the manual repair ATM.

    Apparently OnlyOffice works fairly well on small screens. It's webbased, so in theory one could probably make a UT app for it based on their electron(?) based desktop app or alternatively connect to their cloud version with a mobile browser.

    I have had days where it seems to drain quicker but recently it has been very good on my OPO. It's at 75% after 8.5 hrs with a few calls texts and web etc. Completely switching off can help reset things but don't use many other devices these days to comment on those.
