@projectmoon The main problem that currently prevents using Wayland for electron apps, is that the On-Screen-Keyboard cannot work with GTK+Wayland+Mir1.x . By the way the Merezhyvo Browser ( popriatary app ! ) is an electron app using Wayland, but it has found it's way around this problem by coding it's own OSK inside the app itself, which is not really a way I want to go. (Especially for Signal because I want to modify the code only as strictly necessary, and also because for Signal there are other problems when it comes to using it in Wayland mode with Mir1.x). Anyway I've already tried it (see in the Signal UT topic), and reallu the best is to wait for Mir2.x, I hope it won't be in too long.

Ah, I don't think adb backup works with UT, because it's not an Android ROM, and that feature only works with Android. You need to adb pull /data/*-data or something like that. I forget the exact command.

@eduru hi, I don't know anyone playing with USSD in this community but you could be the first, and then report back so we all can learn about it Perhaps this https://hackernoon.com/creating-ussd-applications-69e7d6911158 can give you some ideas. Good luck!

@juangrodeja said in 16.4 OTA 4 Browser don't always download files & Dekko2 don't send mail.: @juangrodeja said in 16.4 OTA 4 Browser don't always download files & Dekko2 don't send mail.: Wasn't 16.4 an stable version of the OS? In addition, browser closes Geogebra tabs for some unknown reason. The issue with downloading files is that they stay at the "0%" stage undefinitely in the downloads window. I have installed the stable version of 16.4 OTA-4. The browser is the one it comes by default, cannot find its name.

@axenias Flohack's method is easier, you don't need to play with twrp. If you want to install Android, there's no problem, it would be a normal installation. See https://developers.google.com/android/images

@hummlbach Thanks for your reply. Yes, that is where I found them in the backup and that folder was empty on my phone after the update to rc v13... Another interesting thing was that restoring that folder did not make my notes appear. I had to use a computer and create manually all the notes on evernote.com and then sync my phone with evernote.

@rueding keep in mind browser-ng is under heavy development now in order to be ready for OTA-5 Also it has changed its name, it's Morph now. If you want to take a peek to the development https://github.com/ubports/morph-browser

@fishfingers44 generally speaking, all the up to date clicks are in https://open-store.io/ Speaking about Dekko specifically, as it's under heavy development, you need to follow the releases in its repo (https://gitlab.com/dekkan/dekko/tags/) for now

Managed to find a workaround. If you restart ofono (sudo initctl restart ofono), the import suddenly starts working. The drawback is that your phone goes offline and you will have to restart to get it back online. The pattern seems to be, that if your SIM is offline, import works. My 2nd SIM is blocked, therefore it stood offline and the import worked on the first try. Unfortunately, switching to flight mode doesn't work, because it simulates a modem with no SIM card.

I was trying to move a folder from PC (kde neon)to my phablet after updating to ver 170 , I got the, could not write to device message, so I turned on developer mode, and it worked. I usually move items to the downloads folder on phablet, thats when I realized there was not one. I ran the update to ver 172 and looked for the downloads folder, it was not there ( no wipe ). I then made a downloads folder, so a screen shot shows different date on that folder. So a terminal readout is correct, but I made that folder. I am using " skyneels Nvram flashable fix" and reflashing twrp periodcaly,to get away from Wifi, problems. Just trying to see if something slipped thru, I don't think its worth going to github for, seemed strange tho.
