Hi Zaito, so sorry for delay, I have only just logged on in ages. I tested it on GS5 only - installed UT 24.04 because it was the only way to make phonecalls when 3g packed up. Nothing I did enabled Waydroid to persist. Meaning that if waydroid was closed for any reason, you couldn't reboot it without a completely fresh installation. This rectified in June with a new UT update. Everything works well in both UT and Waydroid with one exception; there is no clipboard on waydroid. Which means you cannot copy or paste anything in any circumstances. If I need waydroid copy facilities I have to use another phone running UT20.04. Hope all is well.

Remember that this does not affect calls. Its only about mobile data, so the only thing you need to have on the radar is the fact if your device is 4G-capable. Ubuntu Touch will continue to work as today. Only removal of 2G will require VoLTE-capable devices and operating system.

I've so far found zero patterns regarding file types or sizes, nor mobile data vs wifi, nor VPN or not. Sometimes I get my file, mostly not. Its a bit frustrating as I (edit: would like to) use my phone for email quite a lot, this coupled with the not sending emails on an equally random basis issue makes it quite unworkable.

Thanks, yes I tried closing and opening the app, thinking exactly what you confirmed, but no joy. I have also tried different apps for audio source, same issue. in the bluetooth settings, this headset is shown with a headset symbol against it, rather than a music smbol (this is an assumption based on other phones / car stereos), as I'd have imagined it to display. Cheers

@arubislander The usefulness of the cp and mv commands is that they can be currently being used as a workaround for a very annoying bug on the Pinephone : https://gitlab.com/ubports/community-ports/pinephone/-/issues/53

Odd you should ask as I had exactly the same question three months ago. See: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/4462/how-to-answer-the-phone?_=1600276766780

@C0n57an71n haha  I've been in Venice this summer and yes by night it's not that easy. I used PureMaps just to see my approximate location and the direction I had to head up. Then I checked my position mostly on bridges with less signal bouncing off the buildings. To be more on topic, I'd say that's also why we have the forum. We can ask question like this one, debate wether you needed help then wether or not to open a feature request.

@Tominto Best not to keep opening new threads on the same issue, there are now three open. I will lock your other and leave this one as all the links are here. If things are in the wrong place we will either move them or let you know Thanks.

@Fla In Teleports, I don't see a search box where I can search for groups. I can only enter a contact by phone number. Or is the option hidden somewhere? The main screen is blank with a menu in the left top corner, with saved messages, contacts, settings, night mode and about. I could't find a manual for Teleports. I've gone through the menu items, but don't see how?

I had a similar problem this week. (BQ 4.5). It kept crashing on reply to email. Half the problem was me because I had forgotten to update the phone with new outgoing server data but once this was done, it still kept breaking. Deleted Dekko and re-installed and issues have been resolved except for trying to change the email signature which won't update correctly. I suspect that Dekko has an issue with overwriting/updating configuration files, hence the need to reinstall and enter data afresh.

@Anurag3624nu There is no port for this device. See previous posts. Sorry, the only solution is to port it yourself following halium first steps

@ThePossessor Yes I agree that it is an extra super paranoid scenario. But maybe fixing this issue will help implement this feature so it could be a nice addon to Ubuntu Touch's security measures. I prefer having a fixed MAC address because I use it to identify my phone in the network. And of course it can be spoofed, but it's way more comfortable this way. You'll always have to balance convenience and security.

I think this happens in most distros if not all. Not sure why though and if it's fixable.

@kugiigi said in 16GB Storage Limit ?: There was a recent update on the Pinephone which is related to storage. Probably this will fix the issue on the Pinetab as well so try to switch to devel and see. I am not sure though how in sync the developments for the Pinephone and PInetab though. Also, I think the PInetab only has 32GB EDIT: Sorry, I was thinking of the convergence edition of the PInephone I switched my PineTab to the development channel and it sees the correct size now. Thanks !

@onehuman said in Mounting Phone to Computer: Is there a way to mount the Pinephone with UBPorts to the computer to view the files and folders inside of it? In principle, you could connect it via USB, set up ssh as others have mentioned, and access it via ssh. (There are also some file managers that support ssh if you prefer drag&drop.) BUT due to a hardware bug in the Braveheart and UBports CE versions, their USB port cannot do anything else but charging. (If you are very good at soldering, you could fix it. Sadly, I'm not.) https://www.pine64.org/2020/07/15/july-updatepmos-ce-pre-orders-and-new-pinephone-version/ (long post, search for "elephant") Luckily, there is an optional serial connection via the Audio port(*). Pine64 is selling cables, or you can build one yourself. The folks over at postmarketOS list the specs: https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/PINE64_PinePhone_(pine64-pinephone) (*) Enable via dip switch
