    I found a "workaround" for now:

    You can get "somewhat" around the sending issue. Type enough so the "Expand Text Box Arrow" is usable (or move you finger around the text box a little (up works very often), for some reason the arrow shows up then too), press it and now you can press the blue send button to the right. It is far FAR from working / good but it works for now. That also allows selecting and then "overwriting" the current text. That can be considered as a "backspace" workaround.

    ALSO: Signal-Desktop uses more battery then it should. It uses a far less if you close it and reopen it and don't open any chats. IDK. why.

    Getting Waydroid apps to work more like regular UT apps is still a work-in-progress. For now you probably have to use the work-around you discovered.

    @3arn0wl Nice one i'll give it ago. Although installed Ubuntu touch and it's asking for a passcode which I don't know so can't access the phone at all help!

    To add, I tried to install the stock image from Android -- specifically 6.0.1 (M4B30Z, Dec 2016), found here, which gave some errors and failed to fully install (though it did change the look of the bootloader.) I still was stuck with the UBports Recovery program.

    So, I looked around and found the TWRP recovery program for hammerhead (Nexus 5 codename) and successfully installed that. I used it to wipe and format the drive, since all my previous attempts at installations (of either Ubuntu Touch or Android or LineageOS) failed.

    Then, I tried once again to install LineageOS, by transferring the file to the phone (see code below) and then using TWRP to install it. This worked.

    I must say that the UBports recovery program needs improvement. It's far inferior to the TWRP recovery program.

    Anyway, my issue is solved. I can now reinstall Ubuntu Touch. [edit] I did reinstall it. So, I'm good to go.

    Nexus 4 hardware does not support OTG. The OS is irrelevant.

    For wireless keyboard/mouse you need to use Bluetooth devices. You also cannot use OTG and Slimport simultaneously, on micro-USB devices that support Slimport.

    Unfortunately, the touchscreen keeps working bad with Android. I will ask a refund to aliexpress seller.

    @Silar I have all kind of notification working.
    Sound notification with generic sound, the Led is pulsating and the phone vibrates...

    Sometimes it can be a little long and I'm able to see the message before notification occurs. In that case, no notification is required so I get nothing...

    Ah, thanks guys; so this looks pretty normal then.

    The reason for asking was a feeling that my old E4.5 might be getting a bit tired so I've been thinning out unused apps, clearing caches etc to try and make more free space in the hope it might make things easier for the phone!

    Same here (Nexus 5) it seems is a pulseaudio issue, can't switch profile to headset_head_unit when trying to use bluetooth headset/car kit microphone

    profiles: a2dp_sink: High Fidelity Playback (A2DP Sink) (priority 10, available: unknown) headset_head_unit: Headset Head Unit (HSP/HFP) (priority 20, available: unknown) off: Off (priority 0, available: yes) active profile: off

    I manage to force it to switch to A2DP but of course no mic

    @Stefano Hi, it could also be "locked". The SIM-Card is in this state until you type in your PIN-code for this card.
