@Shriharsh-Kulthe It is an old phone (with the micro USB port) and the fact it updated to Noble may indicate further work may be done. It is not a common device though and I did use it for my main UT device for a while.

@tacetion so is it up and running with UT? A prototype is well worth keeping, collectors may seek something like that out..... It could also have had a screen replacement...

Apparently @kugiigi was right in his assumption that the notch hack filled up / . Reflashing freed 52 MB in / . That turned out to be sufficient to install Kugi's Ambot Installer which is a great tool! Everything's fine and I'm happy with the result. Thanks to everyone!

@r0lle said: Maybe this is a Halium thing? I doubt it. I have had a Pixel 3a in which I installed UT myself several times, and have never seen the logo you are describing on the boot screen.

@gpatel-fr thank you for the mkv samples! @gpatel-fr said: this 'Microsoft MPEG-4 4.2' is probably the same thing as your '10 bit support'. not really, the issue is definitely the bit depth of the video, correlated with the format profile. It does, as you suggested, play on (libertine) mpv or vlc, so it seems like a limitation of the default player (I'd open a bug on the app repository, but can't seem to find it for the media player).

OnePlus phones are very hard to brick. They can be recovered using the msmDownloadtool usually included with the image on the UT device's webpage. If it isn't, xda-developers has them, for every OnePlus model.

@newguy said in Upgrading Pinephone from 20.04 to 24.04: I'm looking for a way to upgrade my PinePhone to version 24.04. There is no such way yet. At least not unless you are prepared to dive in and fix the issues that will surely cause the OS to malfunction after the upgrade.

Hi, I am using Ubuntu Touch on Shift6mq. I like to swap between Wifi Data and Mobile Data. The Wifi Data usually gives me a list of Networks and which one is connected. However, turning off Wifi Data, then turning on Mobile Data; then access internet, then turn off Mobile Data; then Power off and Power back on: The Wifi Data is set on, but there is no list of Networks. Access to previously accessed Networks does not work. I have not found a way to reactivate the Wifi Network from this condition. Can anybody help? cheers, Steve D

sorry, I am not realy precise in the description but I don't understand realy the probleme (not fluent in english - better in french) It is a critical problem, met first in 20.04, then in 24.04. today, I take some photos with my phone (this is not often). no probleme. , but then (20 mn later) I re-launch the camera app and the camera came to vibrate (trying to focus ?), without stop... even when I stop the app. I have to reboot the phone (the vibrations only stop when the phone was totaly stopped) And now, there are problems with the camera : I could take a photo once. never reboot, and now It doesn't work (no image on camera) nb : now it works, with light corrigation on the image this is the 2nd sony xperia X I use with UT. previously, my 1st device had the same probleme on 20.04. And I think it break the camera... (but I made it fall too... so I m not sure)

@XPran Great! Although note that I see you have selected "24.04-1.x daily" which is a development version, it's more recommended to install "24.04-1.x stable". It's a known issue that the installer proposes you the first option. Enjoy Ps: If you're still looking for a whatsapp solution, you can try my app "Whatsnew" from the openstore.

Re: Ubuntu Touch Installation Guide for Xiaomi POCO X3 NFC / X3 For those looking to use a Poco X3, it is now much more difficult to unlock the bootloader, especially on MIUI 14. To unlock the bootloader, you MUST: have a China region Xiaomi account (if yours is global, you need a new account) have a SIM card in the phone link your phone to the account and add the phone number (SMS verification often fails) request unlock authorization at midnight China time (limited to 2000 requests worldwide daily) All known methods to bypass the 7 day waiting period still need a code that is generated server-side only after linking a phone number. A phone number can only be added to your Xiaomi account if your region is set to China. And you cannot change the region of an existing account. While you can use a phone number from any country, the account region must be set to China. Information is Xiaomi community is outdated and unlikely to be updated. Xiaomi is making it more difficult to unlock bootloaders across all models, but has not yet explicitly banned unlocking. They have also instructed their service centers not to unlock bootloaders for any reason other than when necessary for repair, and to ensure they are re-locked when returning the device to its owner.

@kyrylo welcome, however I would not advise getting a galaxy note 4 as my port is very incomplete, its missing call audio and has a few other issues I need to address, but I lack the time to do so

@darkcoder221 No, sorry. The port is currently in need of some work as the last bootable image failed to wake for phone calls. I am currently unable to put any time into fixing this.
