PLEASE SAVE THOSE LINE IN A TEXT FILE AND CHANGE THE EXTENSION TO .bat AND THEN RUN IT AS ADMINISTRATION. then i could run the unlock.cmd file and it ran flowlessly. thank you for your help.

@MrT10001 Oh, looking at that chart... It has the Android edition top part, but doesnt have the buttons, still worked on android somehow... May have been a scrapped newspaper or developer version that went into the hands of someone? This was a kid's main phone before i got it. It was in the Mediamarkt electronics bin in Terrassa Parc Vallés of all places, the bin was full, with that phone on top. Im a bit ashamed of grabbing a phone off a bin, but that gives some backstory.

I had to install back a second time Android on my Fairphone 4, this time I've took some notes shared below. TLDR: LineageOS developer options pane allows you to enable Rooted debugging. This allows you to use the adb root command which start a rooted debugging session. Then you can use adb shell to open a console on the device and run restorecon -FR /mnt/vendor/persist to restore the SELinux permissions. From Ubuntu Touch, the easiest way to go to the fastboot mode, is to open the terminal application and run: sudo reboot -f bootloader Then, I used the Android 11 factory reset image provided by Fairphone (but don't do like me, see below). Then, I wanted to install LineageOS and they require to have Android 13/15. So, I opened Android 11, go to phone information in the settings application, repeatedly touch the build number until the developer mode is enabled. Go, to the system panel in the settings application, open the developer mode and enable the ADB debugging. On my computer, I go back to the fastboot mode with: adb reboot bootloader I've installed Android 13 factory reset image provided by Fairphone as I already have downloaded it for another experiment. Then I boot Android 13 and enabled usb debugging with same steps than Android 11 (see above). Then I've followed LineageOS instructions to install it step by step: https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/FP4/install/ Then, with LineageOS, you can enable developer options with same procedure. The LineageOS developer options have two options: USB debugging and Rooted debugging, you need the last one to be able to run commands to reset correctly permissions on the hardware drivers. Then, on my computer I was able to run, adb root to start rooted debugging, open a shell on the phone with adb shell and run in this shell restorecon -FR /mnt/vendor/persist: $ adb root restarting adbd as root $ adb shell FP4:/ # restorecon -FR /mnt/vendor/persist SELinux: Loaded file context from: /system/etc/selinux/plat_file_contexts /system_ext/etc/selinux/system_ext_file_contexts /product/etc/selinux/product_file_contexts /vendor/etc/selinux/vendor_file_contexts /odm/etc/selinux/odm_file_contexts FP4:/ # Then you need to reboot and you can check this worked by enabling the automatic rotation feature: open an application and rotate your phone, the application should follow the movement

Re: Wireguard Kernel Support How do I set it up, because the hide-me.vpn will run on it, without paying proton? i'm back to the darkside, we'll call it. Wasn't smart enough to catch the starting gun-even, until past Dec. Looks like an old topic, but I can promise it's new all over again to any who got blessed enough to see the light, do this, and get rid of google/apple immediately. Took four months to do it all real carefully, but now I have to be careful. Linux was always my nemesis in Jr. High. Now I say thank you that Linus Himself is only ten years my senior and saw what they were hiding then. Nevertheless, I've chicken peckcked my way, back to my dreaded terminal. Not dreaded these days. More of a blessing. So, how do I configure wireguard in ubuntu touch to this aforementioned vpn? Thank's. Sorry for giving up on it all, back in the early 90's.

@vince.vs said: I don't know how to use your information in a terminal; copy and past doesn’t work, copy & paste work in UT terminal, but it's a lot easier to connect to the phone with ssh when both the phone and a computer are connected with wifi.

@newguy said in Upgrading Pinephone from 20.04 to 24.04: I'm looking for a way to upgrade my PinePhone to version 24.04. There is no such way yet. At least not unless you are prepared to dive in and fix the issues that will surely cause the OS to malfunction after the upgrade.

@los-tioz camera works fine on the latest RC. There's clock workaround: open Settings, then click on "Time & Date". "Set time and date" should be set to "automatically".

30 days passed and the Xiaomi community app says: "Application quota limit reached, please try again after 05/30 (mm/dd) 00:00 (GMT+8)" I though other people reported this message in MiUnlock app. I guess I have to be granted through the Community app and then do the unlocking job connecting the phone to the PC's MiUnlock app.

My thought was: my phone and your experience, like in zoom or telegram meeting to solve this together But thank you for all recommendations Did you seen a presentation with this wonderful and cheap (200+ euro) phone - looks better than Pinephone which is double price ! https://www.youtube.com/shorts/C--PvnTXml8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8s8bCNLwUQ

@wally I bought an MS Wireless Adapter V2 a few days ago. It works (my Pro1-X runs Android 11), but there's some lagging (sometimes it freezes a little bit, as well), and of course it not as stable as a HDMI cable.

@Antares86 What do you mean by latest ? Most recent phone ported or most recent port whatever phone release date ? Anyway take a look here for UT 20.04 devices : https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/ One of the latest device is Fairphone 4 (Fairphone 5 incoming), ones of the latest ported devices are OnePlus N100/N10 5G.

@stoyanov_vl Reboot the device and leave it alone for about 10 minutes after booting up, the screen may kick in. I have had similar issues on other devices with a screen replacement. Another thing to try, if that fails is to back up data and do a clean install of UT.

@Moem yes, I did. But the very first question I cannot answer is: should I use the full system image or halium-boot method or the stand-alone kernel method. I don't understand the differences. As I mentioned: I'm not very familiar with mobiles.

@rugby There is a huge lack at this level and yet a real demand. Nothing new on the program. There is only the Sony Xperia X indeed, although not very recent. As a user, this mid-range smartphone https://m.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_xcover_5-10718.php seemed like a candidate for its price, size and performances, although I don't know anything about the feasibility of a focal port by a developer.

Hi @AppLee, with UT works: -Sim card with Data -WLan (not so strong then my other devices) -Foto -Loudspeakers Video (Browser) No Function: -GPS @kugiigi thanks but I am not on telegram. I searched for a good UT Guides, Firewall, VPN, Apps and etc. Any hints from the community which longer have their Hand on UT? Edit because of GPS!!!: be aware everyone of the following issue: Yesterday I tried to check the GPS functionality with this: https://docs.ubports.com/de/latest/userguide/dailyuse/location.html I turned on WLAN, insert a SIM Card and connect the charging cable. 15 min the device was very hot and shut down. I had recognize it to late because I only looked the display. After that I let the device cool down and booted up again. Greetings

@moem said in The device page requires community help: And so she types 'onep' or 'xper' or another suitable combination of letters... and the right options pop up (or there is a notice that this phone is not yet supported). It can't get quicker than that. The visibility of that option is very poor in either Dark Mode Firefox of Day Mode Pale Moon Also sometimes Search functions don't find what I am looking for while the thing I am looking for is actually there so I have stopped trusting them a very long time ago! I would not want to scroll down to Oneplus or Sony... Another option : https://wiki.merproject.org/wiki/Adaptations/libhybris Easy to go through. Very specific overview of the stuff that works and doesn't Anyway, new options are coming, and you may even like them. Can't wait!
